My project for today was Magical Milliner. One building, made mostly of gridded pieces, most of them not actually on the grid. Enyoy: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1426663357

I'm quite impressed you were able to force this inexact method into forming a coherent whole.  I find it MUCH easier to make such things as several buildings :)

Easy, yes. But not nearly as satisfying.

Tomes!!  I love the alpine slide!!

I made a stop sign.  I'm really surprised the Studios pack didn't include one.  I tried making an octagon...it looked bad.   :mad:up:

It's on my workshop page if anyone wants it.

We can make a perfectly accurate Russian stop sign.  This is a small white rectangle with a thin black border, with the word "СТОП" ("stop") on it.  The small Studios road sign works great for that :D

Technically speaking, this isn't the same as a US stop sign, in that it's not an order.  It just marks where the line you're supposed to stop at is on the road in case there's too much snow to see it.  But still, it's a sign with "stop" on it :D

I submitted my entry for Challenge #1 of the SGW Summer Contest ;)

Damn, so much work I wanted to show off the last week or 2, and so little I could show in the contest thread.

Well I'm currently in Planet Coaster College.  I've literally been studying tutorials, watching videos and then practicing some of the techniques in game to better understand the concepts.  I recommend the same for all as it is extremely helpful.

Keep it up Weber...can't wait to see what magic you unveil to us....and please ask for help from those of us that have been using the game for what seems like forever now (RCT3??? What's that???? :)),,,,either through the forums or personal messages. I would love to help you get up to speed however I can.

I have never built a building in Planet Coaster until now. I thought it would be a fun idea to recreate a real life building rather than try and make one up, so I recreated an old fashioned movie theater near my house. It's a little off, but I did my absolute best and it took me about two days.

Good job, Krosscoasters!  I love that facade and the doors!  I, too, find it MUCH easier to copy something than to invent something new :)

I got my quasi-copy of Euclid Beach Park's old "Derby Racer / Racing Coaster" perfectly synched.  Racing fun for the whole family.

I just spend a couple hours lighting my park Sycamore Grove and completely underestimated how much there is to this one already...

@krosscoasters - those doors and the awning are amazing!

@bullethead - that's a very satisfying layout, reminscent of so many vintage photos I've been looking at lately.

@dinoco - that's a great flow and now I need to find your thread and check it all out closer.

Looks quite good!  I've enjoyed following Sycamore Park ;)

Thanks!  It's heavily based on the layout of a coaster built in 1913.  You ain't the only one who's been digging through old postcards and photos lately ;)

Even before Motels, they had what were known as Auto Camps;

Here's a typical one from the 1920s. The only thing I am really struggling with is a privy. Can't find pieces small enough!

Looking forward to Tuesday!!!

I finally figured out yesterday its easier to make one part of a pergola and copy that several times, compared to building the whole pergola first and then attach flowers to it...

oh well, there is a first for everything they say

Hehehe, I feel like I grew up in such places, what with the family moving every 2 years and going on long roadtrips the alternate years.  You've captured the look perfectly ;).

Anyway, in my experience, these places didn't have privies.  Instead, they had 2 communal restroom/shower huts that looked pretty much the same as the sleeping cabins, similar to how many trailer/tent campgrounds are built today.  What divides having privies from having flush toilets and showers is the availability of electricity to pump the water in sufficient quantity.  So if the place had power, it probably had flush toilets from the get-go.
