Grimestone Mine [Darkride] - POV released
« on: December 30, 2016, 10:52 AM »

Grimestone Mine is located in a tiny, stony bay, far away from any civilization. Some brave pirates founded a little settlement here and dig deep into Grimestone Mine. They hope to find the legendary treasure of Grimestone. But it´s dangerous because the cave is very old and could collapse. With some wooden structures they supported the most important shafts. Are you brave enough to enter the cave? And if so, avoid the dangerous shafts, as you explore a dark world with a new obstacle around every corner...

Your RCT work is full with great dark rides that have a great atmosphere and great lighting. I wondered if you could translate that to Planet Coaster. The first pictures look promising. Very atmospheric!
I'd love to see more.

Grimestone Mine [Darkride] - Update 2
« Reply #7 on: January 13, 2017, 10:07 AM »

Finally this is my first project in terms of Planet Coaster. Most of my projects in RCT3 are darkrides and stuff beyond that. So I´ll try to use Planet Coaster as well to create darkrides and will keep my style of building.

Looking great! It looks like it could be from a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I really like how you used the ship bow for the station.

Here come the amazing fantasy coaster projects! Not sure what theme direction your going with, whether its gold rush mine or southeast asian tropical, but the outcome looks great. Really impressive shots too. Im curious to see whats inside.
Initiating power transfer...

Action packed premier in Planet Coaster. I really liked it. Some great details and much respect for your effort to build everything underground.
The effects and surprising events are great as always when you open your box of magic.
Great ride!

From my post on Youtube:

You've outdone all your other projects with this one...and that's no small feat!  Ha ha!  This was so amazing.  Rarely do I have to watch a ride project video twice, but I kept replaying parts and watching it again and again.  Some BRILLIANT surprises in those mines.  Wow.  And that was the SCARIEST lift hill ever!  Oh my...the anticipation killed me.  Ha ha!

a really nice ride. the lighting effects at the lifthill were superb and well fitting to the music...
also the beginning was very exciting. music was perfect there...the best effect was probably in my opinion the cannonblast hehehe
I also like the concept idea of being a pirat discovering an ancient mine...to mix these two general types of theme is certainly fancy!

Incredible as always - Perfectly executed ... It still remained to be incredibly realistic all the way through which made the ride feel very believable. The coaster itself was smooth, the scenery was beautifully layered and composed in every scene and the effects were tastefully done and certainly weren't overkill (sometimes can be the case with these kinds of rides in Planet Coaster) I thought the ride length was just right, not too long and not too short, yet I have found myself constantly re-watching!

Thanks a lot for sharing this - absolutely awesome, I just wish I could buy this god damn game! haha

Great job. Some of the scenes looked so real! It was like I was riding an actual ride and not something made with a game.

So are you going to change your name to PC D! now? :P
