Yes, you're right!  That solves my problem.  Thank you!

I can't seem to get CoasterJoe's spline connectors to line up with the supports in either CPcisco's Steel Chaos or Moby's Steel Jungle.  The straight pieces are okay, but I can't get the splines on curves to line up with the supports for Cisco or MSJ.

Should I use a different supports set, or can somebody give me some advice on getting this to work? 

Building pools also helps attract a lot of guests.

If you want to get more advanced, you could also create a CTR (search for CTR Creator).  Somewhere in there (I believe) there is a place to set the number of peeps that get attracted to your park as a result of building the ride.  I haven't done this in a long time, so I might be missing something.  Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about this.

This resort is fabulous!

There are some good stair covers in Shyguy's Water World sets.  They work pretty well with the invisible paths.

One solution is to raise the land under the path so the path is no longer elevated.

Another option is to use an invisible path (created by Belgabor).;sa=view;down=1093

Moby has some good path covers that are both conforming and non-comforming.,4749.msg112145.html#msg112145

I haven't tested it on Windows 8, but I seem to recall somebody on this forum that had a beta copy of Windows 8 a few months ago.  They said they didn't have any issues with RCT3 on Windows 8.

Here is one of mine.  It's nothing spectacular but fairly simple.

RCT3 is very processor heavy, and your processor is decent.  RCT3 will only use one of the processor cores.  And, as mrcobra92 mentioned, the video card is also a very important component.  You'll have plenty of RAM because RCT3 will only use 2 GB.

I only have 112.  I'm convinced that CS is what causes the game to crash and the game to lag, so I just stick to the "essential" CS sets.

What are you trying to do with the Structures folder?

Just go to Documents, RCT3, and create a folder there called Structures.  Then you can save any structures that you create in the game into the folder.

I can report to you how RCT3 runs on the new computer that I just got one week ago.  It's a i7-3770K, 4 Gigs of RAM (more than what is usable by RCT3), and has a GTX 550 Ti video card.  I build medium sized parks (about 25 rides), use a moderate amount of custom scenery, have about 1500 peeps in a park, and always play in daytime mode.  My FPS is ranging from 30 to 100 (at the higher end when zoomed out, and at the low end near 30 when on coaster cam).

I've played this game on 4 different computers over the years and have found the processor bechmarks at to be fairly accurate at predicting how much FPS and lag you will get.  But, as you mention the game only uses one core, so you have to take the benchmark value and divide it by the number of cores.  My new computer ranks at 3 times higher (per core) than my old computer, and my new computer is getting about 3 times higher FPS.

Good attention to detail.  I'm looking forward to seeing this park progress.

I have the same problem.  The videos are pixelated, compared to in-game.  I'm not an expert, but I think the problem might acutally be with the video player, and your computer's ability to play the video with the player.  For example, I have noticed that RCT3 videos are slightly less pixelated when played in Windows Media Player compared to playing them with VLC Player.  I have tried other players too, but none play the video with in-game quality.

Problem #1: Go to your Documents folder and then to the RCT3 folder.  There are some files that need to be deleted, I don't know the exact name, but I think the file names end in .fr or .frc or something like that in the Scenarios folder, Structures folder, etc.  Deleting these files removes that error message that pops up.

Problem #2: It might have something to do with the version of RCT3 that you have.  This night-time lag shouldn't be a problem if you have the Platinum version of RCT3.  But if you don't have Platinum, you might want to download a patch to fix the problem.  Do an internet search for RCT3 nightime lag patch.

Problem #3: This sometimes happens when you are missing custom object that you used to have but are now missing.  This problem occurs frequently if you're opening a park file that uses Belgabor's invisible do-dads or Dazmatze instant wood but these are no longer on your computer.  This can also happen with other missing custom objects.

Good start.  I like the characters on the balcony.

I don't believe this is possible in sandbox mode.  But if you've already started a park in sandbox mode, you can open that park in scenario editor, change the entrance, save the park, and then go back into sandbox mode.
