Includes: Pole Supports (version 1.0, pole type only), Footers (version 1.0, pole type only)

In Development: Lift Hill Supports

It would be very good to smooth out those edges on the round part of the pole, but other than that it's looking really good so far. Do you have plans to make footers as well?

Use the eraser tool. Hold CTRL and erase the lines you want to smooth. Or if there are a lot of lines, just select everything you want, right click, "Soften/Smooth Edges" and then adjust the slider to how you want it.

I'm actually very happy that this is in the works. The swinger coaster is not something that is used too often, so this may bring it back to life. The supports look great, especially now that the sides were smoothed.

Looks awesome! I've always strayed away from swinger rides cause the supports never looked plausible enough for me but hopefully this can change that!

Thanks guys, that is exactly why I'm doing this. It's a shame you can't bank the turns but what else can you do? Anyway, did someone order curves?





They will come in all three styles so you can mix it up. The outside curves will come in groups of three.



I've started the more complicated work on the medium curve but that's all for tonight. Thank you guys for your continued support. :)

Hey guys, was using Sketchup 2013, the Pro trial ran out of course but it seems there is no option to continue as a normal general use version. I've been trying 8, 2014, and 2015 but even with the updated set of tools no luck it seems. If someone has 2013 laying around I greatly appreciate if you could share, otherwise this project in on indefinite hold  :(

Uninstall sketchup from your computer.. redownload the free version you're wanting.. (non-pro versions.)

 I had used pro years ago, and it expired, i just uninstalled all the contents of sketchup and re-installed the non-pro versions.

That would be great, I was able to get 2015 up and running but some things don't work still. In good news basic pieces are done. Below is a picture with the typical support config. Inside pieces are also included.



I always like feedback, here is a alpha version of what has been made thus far. As usual drop in your style themed folder and you find it in walls, pieces are specifically grouped under walls misc. (ALT's Arrow Suspended Set)

Very nice. My main fear is that there are too many supports clustered together no matter how good they look. Maybe if you tried an alternate amount using 2 for every 3 you have there it may look more realistic.

Seriously love what you're doing, may have to make a swinger after this!

It varies massively model to model. On some of vampires turns, full 180 banks only have 4 or 5 supports.
Several of its corners feature only 3 supports around it (sizes in game are probably medium), a good example of this is the 270 helix which has only 7 supports for the full turn (and a half!)

Also, it would be extremely awesome if you could do a couple extra parts, like ladder details shown in the image you've posted above, but also the lift hill supports that arrow notoriously used (and maybe footers).

It was just a suggestion, but once again your doing a brilliant job!

Sure enough eh. I probably could make 100's of pieces. lol As for extra parts, did you read my mind? :o That is exactly what I plan on doing. Footers are planned, ladders check, lift hill yep, and some other surprises. Hopefully this will be the most comprehensive coaster set ever devised. :D

Helix's are done! It wasn't to bad as half are just duplicated. Shown are the common outside supports but as always there are inside ones.



And here are all the pieces done thus far. Keep in mind many are grouped.



One big change I plan on make is removing all the straight pieces on curve sections. Now that I think about it, it was not needed plus there will be more flexibility.

The fins, base plate, and nuts are all separate colors if you want.

No pics this time around.

I'm an idiot, to finish off all the supports of course I have to make each variation and like that was going to happen quickly. Currently working on the second style. Also, I initially thought I was going to add extender pieces for people who want really high supports however it will be easier if I just extend the current pieces downwards. As previously mentioned I'm also removing the end supports on curves since these are already covered by the straight supports. Footers have received on upgraded texture as well along with helix ones being done.
