Too Dark And Sinister For Theme Park Studio
« on: August 25, 2015, 08:14 AM »
Post a meme of a ride that would be banned on the TPS forums for been "dark" and "sacrilegious."

Just a few notes, this is all in the spirit of light fun, poking at a rule that is nonsensical. Also the phrase "too dark and Sinister for Theme Park Studio," is a phrase first coined by Gravity in the TPS general discussion thread, real opinions on TPS should be discussed here: http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,11756.0.html

Oblivion wouldn't be...it's not dark rides that are banned - it's rides that contain things assoicated with the devil or related themes.
It's a small world will be fine as would X at Thorpe Park....Saw...probably not.

I think sinister would cover this

The point being if their bar is things that are offensive to their religion then the sky's the limit when it comes to what one might find offensive to their religion. Hell, as a child Harry Potter books were banned from schools in my home town because of their demonic themes.

Oh, I could have a field day with Silver Dollar City.

But I think that's enough for right now.

So much for the fitting "Branson's vision as a family-friendly vacation destination with down-home charm" that the Wikipedia page claims it does.

Pantera prohibit rides made in TPS that contain demonic themes being posted on their forums. Thus, the "Too Dark and Sinister" thing started in the TPS discussion and has spilled over to here.

They didn't forbid you making them, they just will not allow posting or links on the official forum because they want to maintain an "E" rating, you can always post them somewhere else.

Oh my what did I stumble upon?! A GOLD MINE!!!!  :o :D :w00t:
Wagibear "It is entirely possible that Atari will attend in a different way than as a exhibitor. Someone may park their van outside the Convention Center entrance with a big Atari RCTw banner draped in the front window.  Or maybe Mattlab will dress in a trenchcoat and approuch anyone with a PRESS badge and whisper  "Psst!  Hey, wanna see a new video game?"... "
