Game running slow
« on: February 19, 2016, 02:58 PM »
So I recently got a new PC and I finally got around to putting RCT3 on it. The game never goes above 30 FPS (even on the menu screen). Also park files that opened fine on my crappy laptop won't open on my much better PC. Anybody know why/have a fix?

I'm running Windows 10 and I have a Nvidia GTX 960 graphics card. Will share more of my specs if you need them. Much larger games also run fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't use windows 10, but I would try using the compatibility mode. Find the main RCT3 application file in the RCT3 folder (on my win7 computer it's the only file with a panda icon). Right click it, click properties and go to the Compatibility tab and choose an earlier windows version under "Run this program in compatibility mode for"

Thanks for your help! It's running a little better now.

I did some looking around and I found out RCT3 is FPS locked at 30 on my PC. Anyone know how you remove this for RCT3?
