Reposting from the other thread:

If anyone here remembers my rct3 stuff from way back, you'll know how many Corkscrew clones showed up in my parks.

...I couldn't help myself.

The coaster editor is way more intuitive than I expected, and if the devs weren't happy enough to even include it, I can't wait to see how it ends up down the road.

I did mess around with the coaster builder and I ended up with a bunch of bugged "fake peeps" who would not move onto the coaster, who would not leave the queue or leave the park, who did not have collision for real peeps (they walked through onto the coaster) and who stayed in the air even when the coaster was demolished:

I made this today in 3 hours. Not to pretty in regards to path layout, but it is after all only a test park.

The coaster editor was a bit frustrating to get working, but it was a breeze after building the first loop.

This game is going to be my life for the next two weeks (Thank you spring break!)

^As simple as the shots in that video are, I think that aptly shows the amazingness of this game the early stage that is in. Such ambiance! From the sound, to the lighting, to the shadows, to the textures, to the peep's language. Great to see this early in the game.

Just finished my first Vekoma! It was done before but just needed to vegetate it first. :D

I think that when N7 puts his foliage in, ( cos we all know that as soon as UCG is implemented, he won't be able to help himself), it'll be amazing. But even though there aren't many types in the alpha so far, the in-game foliage is just another thing this game does better than anything else before it......by far.

Very nice! What program do you use to record your game?
I currently use OBS but its quality isn't that good...

Just finished my hyper coaster, I'm pretty happy with it! :)

I'm testing to see how far I can push the currently available objects to fit different themes - currently working on a Roman temple. I'm surprised how well the pieces fit together and the amount of control you have over their placement (the pillars are made out of chimneys, and the frieze details are actually balustrades sunken into the walls!), and it's stunning to see the variety of things that's possible with just the current pirate theme.

Well, so this is what I built in one hour... So far it's been a blast. Hope I can start making something more serious next week!

"Pee here"

After a few hours, I finally am starting to feel good about this initial PC scenery set. Now...to tackle the much more robust pirate theme.

Finally made a POV for my Vekoma, The Kraken! (With the Kraken, Tentacles, and broken ship scenery pieces all over the entrance to make the theme xD):

I tried out a little forced perspective today. Not too sure how well it worked, but I think it looks good either way.

Loving everything in it but hating the insane amount of lag.  :(

EDIT: No idea why, but your picture didn't automagically resize like it's supposed to...

My first coaster test track in Planet Coaster, a fairly basic layout around part of the park. The coaster editor is already fairly good as it is, if they improve the banking which I believe they will it's going to be incredible.

Lol, Keegs (and everyone else), those prefab corkscrews are awful. I certainly hope they can fix the banking and those elements.

Wow, so much cool stuff! Definitely some issues that need fixing but it all looks soooo good. I hope they eventually put a video recording tool into the game like RCT3, that was a pretty important feature for a lot of people, even if it was annoying to record frame-by-frame.

I adore the lighting system in this game

Just starting to play around at the moment. Paths are a little tricky but I'm managing to get them to do what I want.
(although the more I play the more I feel like something more similar to the path system in zoo tycoon 2 would be much better)

Is this lighting engine for real??? The blending of multiple wavelengths of light towards white instead of a glitchy mess is soo great. The subtle fade at the edge of walls is super realistic. And to top it off, the game can actually handle complex surfaces without just washing the whole thing with one shade of light.

Also... undo button.

Added a "thrill sector" to the park I've been working on. Can I just point out how awesome the Forge ride sounds? Seriously feels like I'm at a theme park.

Yeah they're not the best. But I'm not going to criticise anything about the coaster builder yet since Frontier didn't even think it was worth including in the alpha.

Managed to get 4 Let's Plays edited and lined up to render. I hope to be able to stagger them so I can keep my channel from going dark (as it does so often). I'm gonna try to pound out at least 2-3 more tomorrow...that should keep me going for about 3-4 weeks in case I get behind.

took more effort then it was worth to be honest, still it looks alright.
