Spent some time working on a Disney-style hub for a park. When the path system works, it works a charm.

Took a shot at a recreation.  Vortex at Carowinds.  It came out surprisingly well.

If this is the state of the coaster builder that they were uncertain about publicly releasing... I can't wait to see what people can do with it when they release it for real.

Working on a bit of a Tuscany/Italian theming. The Dive coaster is supposed to be in a vineyard.

My starting of a modern, hopefully realistic theme park. I've spent 2+ hours on just this alone. Boy was it fun trying to position everything.

It's too bad that most of this will probably be lost before the final game comes out.

Someone stop me before I idiotically attempt to build Fisher Park in this game because I can't come up with an original park idea to save my life.

^ I LOVE those benches!

I tried to Recreate Fury 325. The banking is a bit uneven due to them not being able to be smoothed but I think it turned out well!

^ Tomes, the idea for the bench is so cool! Works much better than the modern doorway bench, too.
^^That recreation is as good as it gets, though. And some really great heartlining too!
^^^ I love the windmill, too! Never expected that to be possible but the use of balconies is very creative and convincing.

I just nearly finished my current park's mainstreet, to see if a Disney-esque mainstreet is feasible (though it turned out a long shot from being Disney  :n00b:):

All I can think of is grids, so many grids... Please tell me that didn't take as long as it looks like it took? Either way it is beautiful.

Forget about these multi grid buildings! Everybody could do that! But now let me show you my One Grid Tower of Terror! Just a crappy building I made within an hour.   :n00b:

Thank you! I think stepping out of the idea of the idea of the ever-important grid (which is a hard habit to get rid of, after so many years of RCT3) is the most important mindset in the game. The possibilities are nearly endless if you think not of the building as on a grid, but imagine all different parts and details of the building to be on their own grid. The seperate grid per structure, I think, also contributes most to the flexibility of the building system. Not sure if Frontier intended it this way, but it works great.

All I can think of is grids, so many grids... Please tell me that didn't take as long as it looks like it took? Either way it is beautiful.

It actually didn't take that long, approximately 13 hours for the whole mainstreet (which is much more than just this picture). It's so much less than in RCT3, and truth be told, this is why I want to give Planet Coaster credit. In RCT3, I'd start a section of a park with some idea in mind, but all the details and parts would take so incredibly long that a single building would be a daily or even weekly project, and the sight over the whole is completely lost in the tedious project. In Planet Coaster, it feels much easier to translate your ideas into what you make in the game - and the system is faster and easier to work with, too. And of course I couldn't take these pictures without the great graphics and lighting of the game, which make things look much more impressive than they actually are.

Gave myself a break from the modern theme... I've always wanted to attempt a New Orleans style of architecture, and the pirate theme allowed me to get close.

Nice work guys, seeing some really great stuff here. This game is so awesome.

Started my first sandbox park after doing some random stuff in the giant oak scenario.

And the giant oak park:

I've been building a selection of buildings, which I'll reuse later. I've found it easier to build this way for some reason and I think they'll be easier to place on existing paths.

All the buildings have been inspired by the Port of Entry at Universals Islands of Adventure (I know, that's original coming from me), but I just can't help it  :whistling:

I've also been practising at lightning - so as well as building lights, there's also 3 event lights hidden in a rock, which provides a little more ambient lighting.

Think there's a little bug with the fence drawing (press shift and move the mouse up 1 to activate the fence) but it always seems to stop, no matter what width or length path.
