@Supernovae Thank you very much
@Cinestri0 Thanks. Very kind indeed.
@JB Thanks. You're right. There's no overhead lighting in this part of the park. It's all down low, mostly to give it a bit of atmosphere and not to interfere with the neon effects that is scattered around the area. If it makes it feel more sci-fi, then it's a bonus

HYDRATION DECK

At the side of the river sits the Hydration Deck. A place where you can walk through, sit and relax or totally soak the rapids riders with water cannons

The Hydration Deck (love that name!) is a really nice looking structure. The style matches the other buildings in the area but it has its own unique look. I guess if you ride the rapids ride you're guaranteed to get wet. If the rapids don't do it, the water cannons will!

That architecture for the hydration deck is just supurb :love: .. Question; How do you get your pictures to look so good!!? Your pictures always look so amazing and high quality, and I have a super powerful PC, and even if I play on ultra I can't get pics half as good as yours, xD. But seriously awesome work  :)

You are a master at futuristic architecture, you truly are.  Not only is it beautiful, but it just fits into the theme and landscape so perfectly!  That's sometimes hard to do, many people end up with it looking like just some modern buildings plopped down in a forest where they don't seem to belong, or they go the other way and decided to leave out what looks natural around their buildings.

@JB You're right. The cannons shoot nearly straight across the river. They'll probably knock your teeth out if you catch one straight in the face  ;)
@wowman Thanks fella
@Cinestri0 Thanks so much. As for the pictures. My PC is an absolute beast, but my pics definitely get a big helping hand  as I use Reshade. It completely changes the look of the game with what's possible and almost brings it to Planet Zoo quality.
@wabigbear Thank you very much. I wanted to make Xuropa IV look like some alien lush planet but I wanted it to also be grounded in reality, so I wanted to use a lot of planting and give it a natural look. I'm probably too lazy or lack vision to make it look like a genuinely alien world.

ZOON Rapids

Sitting on the rocks, the Zoon crystal processing center dominates the skyline. The mighty transponder tower on the right keeping contact with Earth.

When we caught a glimpse of this structure on the previous page I thought it was something special. Seeing it up close... I was RIGHT! First of all, I thought the Zoon Rapids ride sign was real! "What real-life park did Nemmie get that sign photo from?". As I mentioned before, I love that irregular, semi-open roof. But now that we can see inside, I really like that central tower inside the domed structure; part ride operator's booth, part support beam. And seeing the contrast between the shiny, smoothly rounded structure atop those craggy rocks, and waterfalls, looks fantastic! I also like the interior lighting. The lights look like some aliens decided to roast some red and blue cubical marshmallows over a campfire. Haha.

What the hell is going on here, Nemmie :o
This looks insane, absolutly fantastic. I love how you shape all thoose different walls, roofs and the architecture over all. I love the tower with the two rings assembled in to each other...looks so good! The logo is marvellous as well. Only thing I would mentioned are thoose artificial Taron look a like rocks. The idea is great, but they are a bit lost inside the real rock massive. But maybe there will be more in the future. I believe this is the first futuristic Rapids I ever seen. So creative! WOW1

He's been working on it for 3 years.  He could've built the death star by now.  To scale.

Kidding aside, I've given you a lot of grief for this project but I think I need to eat my words... this is looking EPIC.   I do hope your new supercomputer can handle a POV because I am already guessing no one has ever seen anything like this in Planco.

ZOON Rapids Queue Line

@jB Thanks so much. Corkscrewloop's TMTK beams are so useful for making signs. They come in different sizes and are re-colourable. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1663729498
And yes, the lights are alien marshmallows :)

@wowmanrct My brain just kicks stupid ideas out and I then build it. I burn out really quick though, hence the long breaks from playing

@zeroG. Thanks so much. High praise coming from you. As for the Taron rocks, I needed something to completely screen off that side of the area. They may stay unless I add the thing I built 2 years ago to go there  :whistling:

@JPAlmighT You're not wrong. That's why it took so long. I actually built a full-sized Death Star in my back garden. And thank you so much for the massive compliment there.

@Cinestri0 Thanks. I had a lot of fun making that sign.

Hi Everyone.
After a typically long break (I didn't play Planet Coaster for most of 2022 apart from a few days in December), I thought it was about time I dragged this old relic out of the basement again.
This time, we'll start where we finished all that time ago and explore the queue-line. I know, exciting :)

Behind the entrance, you cross a bridge where the entrance to the fast pass queue starts
-

This futuristic bridge takes you over the rapids lift-hill back into the station

This leads to the outside main part of the queue with the overflow section on the right hand side

Inside the building, the last part of the queue leads to the station

The fast-pass queue merges back into the main queue just before the ramp that leads into the station

I'm really liking the futuristic bridge. And I like how the greenish beams on either side of the entrance, mirror the greenish crystalline rocks in (and around) the water. I also like that you use the atmospheric effect to make the distant objects fade away.

Really nice screenshots! I especially like the night pics. Beautiful; exciting; a bit eerie, in a sci-fi sort of way.

Holy..............That station is bananas......how on earth did you get the round station? That is some serious engineering. You never disappoint. I think this game came out 6 years ago.....and you've been working on this one park for at least 5 of them......but it shows! Truly spectacular.

ZOON Rapids - Let's Ride

Thanks guys.
And LuxDreaming. The round station is just scenery. I it built in back in 2018. I also did a bit of photo editing in my graphics program to get rid of the station platform and gates.

Finally, let's get in the rafts and see what's down the river.

After leaving the station we get a picturesque view of the park merch.

Leaving the dome, the adventure begins

Looking at your parks is one continuous  "how did he come up with THAT????"...

That structure in the middle of the helix...the idea to angle the cables...the placement of derails like the colored blocks above the giftshop windows...

What Advanced Civilization are you a actually a member of???
