Here is what it looks like as you would enter the Death Star interior from Galaxy's edge. I know its a bit of a hard transition, but it was the best I could do squeezing this land land in this little space.

and the same thing with the second entrance

and the last entrance from the downed Star Destroyer/Jakku part of the park

What he said. An impressive composition of random sci fi stuff.

Those last shots are awesome, getting great star wars vibes. Glad someone is doing something great with the star wars universe. That last movie was my least favorite of all the star wars movies, which is a shame cause i really liked the one before that. But let's not get off topic. Great work wowmanrct!

About the transition (or lack thereof), I kinda like it that way. The different lighting colors and building styles of the Death Star area beckon you to enter and see what it's about.

It all looks excellent on the construction side but I have to question the purple and blue lighting.  My memories of the Death Star are from Episode IV-VI, where all the light was white and most surfaces black or gray.  Sort of a metaphor for the Empire and all.  Was purple light introduced later in the series?

Here is one of the main hallway junctions (and more white/gray lighting for BH)

I didn´t comment here before and can´t understand myself: Why?
The crashed Star Destroyer is absolutly amazing! The whole giant complex around the Twisted Impulse coaster is really impressive as well.
It´s just pure dedication to Star Wars in every screen and some of your own design interpretations and re-creations show your eye for the details and how you can handle the game at all.
And it´s great that you keeping the faith and enthusiasm to the project for such a long time.

The white light certainly looks more like how I remember the Death Star(s) but it's not as balanced as the previous colors.  Too dark at the floor, too bright at the ceiling, due to the positions of the lights.  Maybe the "white" light would work better with more light objects mounted above and below, but with their color set to some darker shade of gray shade instead of so white, to avoid glare on the wall pieces close to the bulbs.  Maybe something like CCCCCC or so.  The goal is to make each light too dim to make a lot of glare on nearby surfaces but enough of them in the same area will still make that area fairly bright.

Or, you could just put everything back to being blue and purple and forget I said anything ;)

I use the area color light for a lot of my ambient lighting. I try to sink it as far as I can to get rid of the hot spot glow. In this case it was difficult because of the tight quarters...the lights ended up in other hallways or floating in the air outside the building.

Lets take a closer look at the Death Star Attack Run (yet another poorly named ride by me)
Here is the queue entrance from the corridor.

It wraps through a control room

Just to be clear, you mean that just the little "wedged in the corner, really didn't have room for it" Death Star section has 30.4K parts?

ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING?!?!?!?!?  I've had entire full-map parks that didn't have that many parts.

Now that's a launch tunnel! That 'moon' shot looks eerily beautiful. Reminds me of a scene from a movie that I can't quite place at the moment.

Whether it's a single part or a workshop assembly, you still have to fit it into the whole and make it your own.  Takes the same work, skill, and imagination either way.  No shame in doing it ;)

I got ya...I just want to make it clear that this is not stuff I created piece by piece from scratch...but groups of pieces, by groups of pieces, that others had a hand in starting.
