This place looks like it grew over centuries rather than was built at 1 go recently.  Very nice.

On a side note, I fail to understand the logic behind Frontier's decisions as to which coasters allow kids and which don't.  For example, the Cascade water coaster doesn't allow kids, despite it being rather tame and the type of ride for Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.

The architecture is perfect and looks so real and I can really feel the strong passion you have put into this. I like the custom roofs, the coloring of the walls and the perfect integration of the window pieces. It looks like a perfect mix of "Alpine" and Fairytale, could also be a German or Swiss village. Fantastic work! :)

Can't wait to see what you do with it. Just have patience, as there is a bit of learning curve and it takes a while to get the hang of it and learn all the various tricks. Don't hesitate to ask the community if you're struggling with anything or can't figure out how to do something.

The Clock Shop gets a glockenspiel.

Lots more finishing touches have been added to the Storybook Land entrance.

The Storybook Land facade is finished.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments.

Would anyone be interested in collaborating with me in creating the interior of Storybook Land? My plan is to create scenes from the stories of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, and Mother Goose Rhymes. I suck at making custom characters. What I'd love to do is have someone help create the characters and some of the set pieces. Then I will create the interior sets and arrange them all inside the show building. I have a list of about 20 possible scenes. So if you would like to help create fairy tale scenes, or at least the characters for the scenes, let me know.

I would love to help, but my block building skills suck!

But, boy, oh boy, those last four pictures are wonderful. You are one of the only people I have seen who did a great job integrating that enormous glockenspiel into a nice sized building. And the overview of the ride is simply gorgeous.

Wonderful work!

I'm not good using the shapes either. Not enough variety or I just don't have an artistic flare needed.

This looks awesome Shy. Alpine Village is definitely My favourite part of Wonder World. Though if you end up doing the Asian Fantasy themed area in PC that might take the cake. All the stuff in Alpine Village is awesome.

I felt the view from catfish cove looks a bit odd though. I think it could potentially be improved by having some terrain climbing partway up the wall in some parts? I think that wall going all the way down into the water looks a bit bare. Some terrain, rocks, and foliage i feel could really give it that finishing touch?

Don't worry. That's still a very WIP shot. There's a lot more landscaping to do.

A great day to all who live on Planet Coaster!

Alpine village, Catfish Cove, why in the world of planet coaster this ring me urgently some memories, lots of memories from the roller coaster tycoon good ol' days? One would never know.

Nevertheless, this park, which is truly great a whole, is so much filled with tons of details the amount of imagination behind the conception is as stunning as the piece of art itself.

This park, and it's creator, is core reason to keep coming back to this forum for inspiration, as example of dedication.

Thank you so much for sharing your vision of this game, and your creation with a story(and historical factors) all linked for our enjoyment, and community.

Thanks, thanks again.

I've wondered just how the sight lines for Wonder World would work out if ever fully realized as the initial model intended. In particular, the contrast between the two lands you've shown in the past update. And if there is any contingency or story that might back up or explain the visibility of one land from another. Something typically taboo in your... erm... competitors parks. :-X

Catfish being in a depression, and Alpine Village on a bit of a hill seems to lend some answers in my own head, though I'm curious if you have any continuity about this developed of your own.

The only real reason for the visibility of the one land from the other is simply because of the limited space when I originally built the model. It just ended up with Alpine Village looking down upon Catfish Cove, with the Rocky River separating the two. So despite the real world geographical distance between the two realms, in Wonder World, they exist side by side.

So despite the real world geographical distance between the two realms, in Wonder World, they exist side by side.

From looking at the pic in question, it seems to me that the apparent sight-line issue here only exists at the altitude of the camera.  But I don't think the peeps can get into the upper stories of any building in either land, and at ground level you can't see one land from the other.  In Storybook land, the peeps can't see over the wall.  In Catfish Cove, they can't see through the solid phalanx of buildings.

Peeps would only be able to see both areas from a boat in the river between them, if there is such a thing.  But even then, the wouldn't see both lands at once as they'd be on opposite sides of the boat.  Thus, there'd be no mismatch of styles in the same viewpoint unless the peeps were looking down the length of the river from one end or the other.  And a few widely spaced trees on either bank would solve that, given the perspective, assuming that's considered a real issue.

See, I live near the Mississippi River in an area where it was an international boundary for a couple centuries:  Spanish/English on my side, French on the other.  Because of this, there are different architectural styles and even different spoken languages on opposite sides of the River.  Also, during all that time, the infrastructure and economies of both banks developed to stay on their own side, not cross the River.  Thus, even today, folks on both sides regard the others are aliens and crossing the River is fairly rare.

Astounding and inspiring, as usual. Again, these pics take me right back to really fond memories of seeing the RCT3 version all those years ago when SGW was young.
And as for help with the interiors, if I can help a little, I will, but I'm struggling to find pieces small enough to make construction vehicles, so I wouldn't know how to make fairytale characters.

Progress on the interior of the Storybook Land ride is going to be slow. In the meantime, more construction continues throughout the park.
