Stunning.  I've been catching up and when I got to the arcade I thought "Well, he can't possibly do any better than this," and then you showed the Space Port...  Clearly I was wrong.

How adorable! Mr. Wonder was able to afford a pint-sized version of the Space Mountain load area!
I'll be sure to inform Mr. Wonder that you find his park adorable. ;)

I wonder what the rest of the Space Port looks like.  :)
Me too. We're still working on the designs...

Wait what!? How did I miss this iconic park. I remember wonder world back in the early rct3 days, glad you picked it up again for this reimagination in PC. The iconic clean structures were fascinating back then and a source of inspiration for us all. I also really dig all the details on your interiors. That arcade for example is freaking gorgeous. It really shows what a great game PC is and what you can do with it. Especially looking forward to your reimaginiation of alpine village, which was my favourite set to use in rct3. Keep this up man, really digging it so far!
Thanks, BataliaIndustries.

Gorgeous!!!!!!!
Thanks, Lux.

That change from RCT3 to Planet Coaster for the coaster station is brutal hahaha.

Looks super nice, love the pixel colors border.
Thank you. Yes, the RCT3 version of the Space Port interior was pretty horrific.

I love the pixel-y borders, but the red seems rather jarring. Perhaps you could include some different colored lights to balance everything?
Still tweaking things. Although I'm not really bothered by the red lights.

Wait...Is that an arcade?!?!?! OMG!! That's crazy. I love it!  :scared:

What prizes are currently on offer?
Prizes will be typical arcade crap, depending on how many tickets you win playing the games. You know...rubber frogs, squirt guns, copies of RCTW.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the Space Port loading station. It's fairly modest compared to some stations I've seen. But I had to squeeze it into a tight spot, making it small, but functional.

Somehow the control booth fits the theme perfectly!  :P

Poor tortured Wonder employ. Hopefully he fares well with the brainwashing and doesn't end up like Scooter.

Will there ever be another expansion for that park, or is Shyguy under a permanent contract with Mr. Wonder now?

Sadly, it's true. My evil uncle has him under a very binding contract. It basically says, "Work for anyone else, especially Scooter, and you die." But that doesn't mean I won't be continuing to expand the park. I may even build a new one, if it makes enough money. May be awhile though.

/\Scooter is exagerating. I did not threaten shyguy in the contract! :mad:up: He's just bitter because my parks are doing better than his.

But let's get this topic back on track.

The Wonder World sign has been put up. Do you like this version, with the letters lined up straight?

Or this version, with the letters offset slightly?

I would personally go with the offset. Its more visually interesting, however the first sign fits more with the style of Expo 3000... Just some things to take into account.

I guess my vote is for option 2.

Why do you require our input? Where's Shyguy in this design decision? Very suspicious.

Anyway, I prefer 2 as well. It's more fun and helps establish the entrance as "speaking" for the entire park, not just Expo 3000.

I like them both. The 1st one is more in line with the area. I really like the 2nd one though as it takes away some of the starkness of the scene.

I've been absolutely no help whatsoever, so I'll go now.

I do like the second style, but I'd have to agree that the first is closer to the rest of the area so far.

If it were for the entire complex, definitely #2. But because it's in Expo 3000, I'd vote for Option 1
Top 10: Voyage | Goliath(SFGAm) | Skyrush | Maverick | Outlaw Run | Thunderhead | Viper(SFGAm) | Superman: Ride of Steel | Top Thrill Dragster | Lightning Run

Option 1: option 2 is too hard to read easily (as a park entrance title should).
I love how every picture has this future-as-thought-of-in-the-60s vibe around it: it's so clean, but without the Apple-bright white and without the gazillion lights you see in modern looks of the future (e.g. Tron). Sure, this makes Expo 3000 look old, but it has a lot of charm.

As other people said 1 fits more in the area but 2 looks super fun. Basically it depends of the feel you want to give to the entrance, apart of being an Expo type entrance.
Future and science can be fun, so maybe go with the offset!

How about we put the letters on hydraulics, and have them shift positions throughout the day? ;)

Actually, and please don't take this the wrong way, I'd kind of like an option 3.  I don't feel like the lettering (maybe the size) is giving this park the prominence it deserves.  When little kids approach that building for the first time, their little jaws should drop.  You raised the bar with those interior pictures above, making this incarnation light years ahead of the RCT version, so now I'm kind of wanting to see that same style progression from the exterior shots as well.  [runs away and hides]

What about varying the height of each letter to form a slight arc?

Tried it. I didn't like it. But nice suggestion nonetheless.

Well, if you look at the entrances to most theme parks, the name of the park is not displayed as huge and impressive. Maybe at the entrance of the parking lot, but not at the park entrance. For all the times I've visited Disneyland, I can't even remember seeing a sign at its entrance. Also, keeping the letters small makes the Space Port look even larger.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I agree pretty much with what has been said. The 1st option fits the style, whereas the 2nd option has a more inviting feel, but is a bit of a contrast to the Expo-style. Gonna move on and think about it later. ;)

Meanwhile, the Sports Deck (the 3rd level of the Astro Arcade) is under construction. Mr. Wonder is a little upset that I have filled most of the Space Port building with a giant arcade. But he doesn't realize that the Space Port was never meant to be a ride, and you just can't fit an E-ticket attraction inside. You will still board the Space Port attraction (name still pending) from inside, but the main part of the ride will be located elsewhere. And that's not all that is going to be located inside the Space Port building...
