Quian's Rug Preview  ...  by Gravquian

Hey Y'all...

Here you will see a (test) preview set of some Persian (or Persian-ish) rug/carpet items
that I've been working with.  Be pre-pared... for it is no work-of-wonders!  But I do hope
it is helpful to some.  And that many find it usefull for them.

Please fully read the text files that accompany the set, before testing it out.  My appologies
to any non-English readers... who may need to translate the text files.  American English is the
only language that I actually read or speak.  Tried to make them understandable.

 <=>
Some basic background:
This cso set (and any possible future set),  is intended as an enhancement group.  They are
ground/floor coverings,  not actual ground tiles.  They are only elevated ".02m" and will not
work with all floors.  And may not work well with already elevated walkways or paths.  Hence,
the request in the above paragraph.

None of the art work, or images are of my making.  Only the SketchUp models used were of
my creation.

* Any item in this set, may... or may not, appear in other sets by me... w/ or w/o alternate lables.
* Some variation used in this set,  may...  or may not,  appear in future sets.
I state this because of the experimental sizes (and shapes),  that are not common for these
types of textiles.  You may have noticed that this set only uses 7 textures,  but contains 60 objects.
My self-proposed {pre-1900's}  "A"  set already has over 60 textures.  The {1900's+}  "B" set
looks to have near 80 textures.  The sheer volume of such sets would cause undo mass and lag to
most games or systems.  So...  darn...  limitations will need be applied (to myself). :)
<=>

The next post (by me),  in this thread, will contain more images of the contents of this set.
You may obtain a rar-archive copy of this set via:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/qobqeny2kvj454c/QRP_SetV1.rar
or
http://www.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=3467

Constructive comments,  and suggestions,  welcome.  Please restrict replies on this (and future rug sets)
to this thread.  Thank you.

Congratulations on the release of your gorgeous rug set! You've worked hard on it for quite awhile, and you've created a beautiful, useful, and versatile set that I for one will enjoy using. The high quality textures look wonderful in-game, and how nice to have a selection of tapestries! Thank you so much for sharing, Gravquian.    :)

Quian's Freztull Machs
Set #1   ...   v1.0
by Gravquian
(completed 2018_10_28 )

This set is a collection of static "free-style" drink machines, and a few acessory items.
All with quarter-tile placement.  Sorry, there are no re-colourable objects.

Please forgive the 24.3mb size of this set.  It started out as a group of 48 item.  But then
quikly enlarged into a 79 item ( 91 texture ) monster.   If I'd not used Weber's tut on
"shared graphics", it'd been much larger.  I still need to learn more about sizing my models,
graphics, and files.  It only took about 5 tries to (mostly) de-bug.  Although... you may note
an imperfection or two. Example: Maybe the cup-lid covers in the 2 diagonal DrnkSrvs1
(drink service 1) units should not have been "unlit".
*NOTE* :  Any object with "Dag", "Daga", or "Dagb" ending in its name is a Diagonal !
Some "generic (?)" interactive stalls were intended to be included in this set, but are not.
Those may be an "intended" future project.

Here is a day-time set pic.
scrn01.jpg

Ok, here is what you get... for no money.
..... 13 "beer" machines, with 2 regular positions.
             See "A_B_image.jpg" below.
..... 03 groups of Coke machines. With standard and diagonal positions.
            Black-Red-Black, Red-Black-Red, and Red-Red-Red.
..... 08 "soda" machines, with 2 regular positions. All 4 have 2 versions.
..... 04 DrnkSrvs1 (3D) units. Two reg, and 2 Dag positions.
..... 02 DrnkServ2 units. Likly junk items that won't ever be used.
..... 07 Duobeer. Pre-set Dag mixed pairs of "beer" units. Two #11's are together.
..... 02 Duosoda. Pre-set Dag mixed pairs of "soda" units.
..... 04 DuoZoda. Matched Dag pairs of soda units.
..... 06 Multi-lingal sidewalk signs. In 2 versions. Each version has
1 reg, and 2 Dag positions.
..... 06 Tbins (trash bins). Only "Tbin01" is not a diagonal. And is very thin.
The larger "Tbin02aDag" n "Tbin02bDag" are space-fillers to fit where
             switching from dag-CC-mechs to reg-CC-mechs. Else-wise... experementation
             is the key factor.

"... Wow, New RCT3 custom scenery! :) And a whole lotta them, too. Thank you, Gravquian. ..."
"... Hmm, looks like these could double as video slot machines ..."

:) That would be sweet. But I've no experience with animated graphics, nor embedding videos.
Tried em'n Jimbo about his Peepshow, but he never responded.

Sidenote:  In the Day-time pic, you can not actually see the image I created (with acquired graphics
and text), for the sidewalk signs. So here is the texture.

You're welcome, and thank you for checking out the set.

Awesome job on the freestyle machines! I can see these being very useful for new dining plans.

Thank you. I do hope many people get use from the set.

An interactive (stall) set is in the works.  But am unable to estimate a completion/release
date for now.  Hope to include 2 or 3 objects with Reco fronts.  And have unlit-alphas for all
menus. Already obtaining and editing images for some new menus.

Quian's Renfrews' v1 Set
« Reply #23 on: November 02, 2019, 04:56 PM »
Quian's Renfrews' v1 Set

ROOSTER  BALLS  !

Ever heard of  "Rooster Balls"?   Commonly refered to as  "Rooster Nuts"  or
by the physical term... Testicals.  Rooster Testicals, that is.

Would bet more of you have heard of them, than those who have not.  But, have
you ever eaten pan fried rooster testies?

My mother was born in 1935, and raised a country girl.  Thier main food animals
back-when... were goats, chickens, hogs, and cattle.  And they raised most of what
they ate.  And hunted or trapped wild game when they could.  Now, I was not raised
as a country kid (boy).  But I've eaten my share of  goat, chicken, eggs, pork, beef
(veal), deer and more.  Coon and possum also, yes.   And yes, that includes  "exotic"
meats.  Very little went to waste.  But, lets get back to testicals.
Although testicals need some processing,  much like gizzards,  they are very tasty
when pan fried.  Chicken testies are white meat,  duck testies are not.  Yes,  they are
thought to be delicacies in many areas.  Used as (spurius) aphrodesiacs in some areas.
Yet quite illegal in other areas or regions.  If you've ever eaten Rocky Mountain
Oysters (swine testies), or Swinging Serloin (bovine testies)...  Did you like them?
If yes, on both counts, then you would like  Rooster Balls !  Sorry, if you've never
tried them... or if this topic is gross to you.

So, there you have the windy version.  Rooster Balls, that is what this set is about.
Ok, lets see if I can get this correct.  The glass-markee fronting the building has 12
non-English translations. My appologies if the translations are gibberish or childish.
They were via Google Translate.   No specific order.   Forgive bad spelling, please.
On Left :
Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Malay, Manderin, Thai
On Right :
Czech, Dutch, French, German, Russian, Esperanto / Portugese

Yes, that took a while to create.  Looks simple... it was not.  Sorry if your language of
choice was not on there.  Attempted to make it as international as I could.  That is why
the optional Scrolling Signs are available for the roof edge.  They are designed to be
placed just below the Markee.

Here is what you are getting...

{ The above 3 images are included with the set. }

https://www.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=4055
or
http://www.mediafire.com/file/untaf9mme9fu402/Quian%2527s_Renfrews%2527_v1_Set.rar/file

The above 3.14mb download will get you a 9.00mb folder.  The actual set (folder) to
install is only 8.18mb.  Sorry, I still need to learn to be less texture intensive.

*Side Note* :  Each structure already has 2 light sources embeded.  They are on the
counter area.  They are EP1 (on right) with a 3-radius.  And EP2 (on left) with a
4-radius.  The "R0" units have 2 white lights.  The others have a yellow on the
right, and a white on the left.

*Edit*
Thank you Shyguy, for adding this set to the collective.

Hey Y'all,

Just following up with some mixed images. First up, a couple sample test shots
and a Rooster Ball.

The following 5 pictures are of some textures.  Had to construct them myself.  Borrowed
the 2 images of Renfrew, from old Jerry Lewis comics.  Hence the plug for them.
As these images are Unlit in-game, you might like to see them in normalcy. Unobscured.

Yes, these are static structures.  And, yes (if you noticed), there are vendors viewable
in the top two sample pictures.  If that interest you, see "Do you want Interactive stalls ?"
section in ReadMe_01.  The building are able to be made interactive.    :D

Happy Gaming

Hi Gravquian. I just downloaded your set and tested it out in the game. :)  Not sure that I'll be selling Rooster Balls in my parks ;), but like you said, these can be used for any type of stall. I used one of Belgabor's invisible stalls inside the Renfrew stall, and assigned it to sell the Moorish Kebabs, which look like the "Nuts-on-a-Stick". I named it Chicken Kebabs and the peeps never suspected a thing. :P

I also tried using other custom-made stalls (including the in-game generic stall) and they fit the Renfrew stand pretty well. They had some (usually minor) piece of the counter sticking out the sides or front, but nothing that a little bit of shrubbery, etc. couldn't take care of.

I think my favorite items in the set are the thin scrolling signs (even diagonal versions!). I can see those being used in many situations.

Hey JB,

Thanks for the reply, and for testing the set out.  Last check, the set had 13 Mf, and 9 Depot dls.
Added the CS_Depot link, to Post #25, above.

Glad you got a kick from the (intended) novelty aspect of the set.  I hope many other players also
enjoy it.  Thought of Renfrew's being used as a Chicken Shack... but you bested that by thinking
of the Moorish Kebabs :) .   Also, I hope the non-English translations on the markee are not
gibberish.  Or junk translations.  Maybe people who know those languages will give us a reply.

Thought the pre-assigned billboards might see little use, if any.  But I wanted to add them.
Very glad that you thought the scrolling signs could be usefull elsewhere (as well).  Had a slight
issue getting the Regular placement one to alighn.  But managed it.  That gave me a heads-up on
2 other sets, that are in-progress.  They also will contain specialized (custom) scrolling signs.

Best to all, and Happy Gaming.
