Whitworth Park - Hill Valley!
« on: June 29, 2017, 12:48 PM »
Me again! Back with a smaller family style park.

Whitworth Park

Established in 1989 as a small family park with some heightened thrills courtesy of an Arrow Dynamics Swinging Coaster and another Arrow Double Loop coaster.

Also in the park is their wooden coaster, Rolling Timber which guards the parks entrance. Along with some family rides such as the Dragon Coaster, the Chair o Plane and Go Karts, it really is a family day out!

With rumors of the park going under it will be no surprise if the Whitworth family are looking to sell their park to another major theme park developer... Only time will tell!!

The year is now 2017... 28 years of Whitworth Park, what could be next?

I really like the sign and rusic theme for Rolling Timber! Although we don't really get to see much of the ride, it looks pretty interesting.
One thing I would say is that it looks rather unnatural in the 3rd pic that all of those bushes are exactly the same. Just grab a few and randomly rotate them and lower some of them and this problem is solved.

Agree about the bushes. It was the one thing that looked "off." Everything else is shaping up quite nicely!

Spoiler (hover to show)

Here are some more general photos of the park that have been taken to show investors.

Rolling Timber is still in great condition with some steel beams adding longevity to its operational life.

The entrance is understated yet clear what the ride is about.

The queues show that it is a staple of the parks line up.

Looking down the lift you can see the queue and some of the layout.

The same cannot be said for Dragon Coaster, a constant walk on attraction with little to no queue all day.

Double Loop is showing its dominance in the ride lineup with a constant hour queue all day.

The same cannot be said for Tree Tops

An open letter to any investors:

We are Whitworth Park strive to give families a fantastic day out come rain or shine. We have been operating as family unit since 1989 but now the time has come to not ask for help but for growth. We are for the first time in nearly 30 years are putting our park up for sale but in return we ask for a seat on the board of governors to help our little park grow into something amazing and modern. We have taken the best part of our family values and turned it into a profitable park for everyone. Now is the time to move on and see what someone else can do.

The Whitworth Family

Not sure if I buy the bright green wooden fence in the last picture.  The entrance to the wooden coaster looks solid tough, nice work there.

Maybe try to open up some of the buildings too?  The stations especially feel a bit closed off and small if that makes sense.

As trav said, you've done an excellent job of recreating Alton's entrance. I'm assuming the park will take a Tussaud's/Merlin route?

I like the look of the tower on Gunpowder. If i was to give any advice it would be to add some more low-level vegetation around some rides/open areas, such as Rolling Thunder.

Here at Whitworth we are rapidly approaching season 3 of Premier Entertainment's reign over the park. (Go along with it)

I sent our Social Media executive out to the park today to take some photos of what is going on!

The Entrance is looking as bright as ever. (notice the new trees to the left)

Our Go-Karts have been removed from this area of the park. It is now closed for the foreseeable future. An original attraction of the park will return, 'Only time will tell.'

Rolling Timber is also still not in operation but I am happy to confirm a Press Statement Release shortly.

Oh. and we have a brand new area for Season 4!...

We will see you very shortly! There are so many exciting plans for the near 'future'...

Hello again!

The park is slowly coming to the end of its season. It is nearly time to stop the rides, paint the tracks and empty those bins! We are very excited to show you what is coming in the year(s) ahead but it is only a matter of time before we can show you! Any ideas?

Here are some night shots of our last night before we close for two weeks and then we welcome in Fright-Worth Park!

Night all! Rides shut at 7pm tonight...

See you in two weeks!

I love the colours on that chairswing.
I love the entrance too and a lot of the buildings. They are quite simplistic and very realistic. In fact, everything looks very realistic

OFFICIAL STATEMENT
At 1:00am last night we were alerted of an incident at Whitworth Park. Upon arriving at the Park Gates with the managing parties and the Whitworth Fire Brigade, it was obvious what was facing us as a theme park. Rolling Thunders lift hill was engulfed in flames. The fire services got into position to extinguish the torrent of fire.

As part of the managing group we retired to the park offices to decide our plan of action which included this post.
The park will remain closed until the Fright-Worth Park event and Rolling Thunder will be demolished in the next few days based on the outcome of the damage. Understandably, this ride will not be reopening again at Whitworth Park. Further to Fright-Worth Park we will be looking forward to unveiling our new land and looking to the future of the park as a whole. It goes without saying that fire safety will continue to be our number one priority after hours.

Thank you for your patience.

Rolling Thunder
1989-2017

As you can see, the lift hill was completely destroyed by the blaze. The ride will be removed over the next few weeks.

See you at Fright-Worth...

It is here! Our first proper Halloween Event!  :laughing_skull:

We have three scary attractions for you.

  • Francis Manor - Scare Maze  :)  :)  :)  :)
  • The Asylum - Multi Level Scaremaze  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)
  • Phantom Pass - Walkthrough  :)  :)

Lovely day here after the horrible events of the last few weeks.

Rolling Thunder has truly left a blank space in the skyline of the park.

Phantom Pass is fun for all the family, no actors in this attraction. Just a spin tingling walk in the woods...

Francis Manor. Not so scary in the day, not open either! Come back at 5pm.

Double Loop is pulling a queue of hour 2 hours!

The Asylum, one large abandoned building waiting for thrill seekers...

Few changes over at our new land, Arriving Next Season!...
The Tree Tops shops have been moved to accommodate for a new path.

Francis Manor: Enter the crooked and creepy Manor house of the Francis Family. Legend has it that the one of the family witnessed the brutal murder of Lord Francis. As no one would confess who committed the crime, the family went insane and slowly picked off each-other until Lady Francis could not take the guilt of causing her family so much darkness that she took her own life. Some say these events are still seen within the house...

Four Pumpkins on the ScareFactor.

The Asylum, a world of horrors await inside this multi level maze that lasts over 10 minutes. You WILL be separated, you WILL crawl, you WILL loose yourself in real mazes, you WILL face true terror. Meet the patients and escape the same fate.

Five Pumpkins on the ScareFactor.

Phantom Pass, a jolly ole time in the woods. Keep an eye out for all the spectres that may be watching your every move!

Two Pumpkins on the ScareFactor.

We may be back with some more spooky updates... if not, see you next season!!

After months of planning on how to reveal our big secret we thought we should just show you the newest expansion to our park!

'Premier Entertainment' and Whitworth Park are proud to present Hill Valley.

Hill Valley has become immortalised in popular culture by the popular film franchise Back to the Future.

We have the exclusive UK license to use the images/names/models of the franchise at our park. You may remember we closed our Go Karts, this was to move them to a state of the art building using Delorean karts!

Time Travel Trials puts our guests behind the wheel of their own Delorean Time Machine to beat their friends and families around our indoor track.

You may also see the Delorean from Back to the Future II near the exit.

We have also got a Museum dedicated to the filming and creating of the trilogy!

The second indoor attraction is a fierce chase against Biff and his gang on hoverboards! This indoor coaster will mix a roller coaster with screen effects to put you in the heart of the action.

The main headline attraction however is Back to the Future: The Ride.

Picking up from the much loved Universal Studios attraction, we follow Doc and Marty back (and forward) in time to stop Biff from getting the Delroean. This simulator is a state of the art attraction following the 1980's story line of BTTF.

We cannot wait to let our guests explore their own adventure here at Whitworth Park!
