Still plodding along on this behemoth. Might finish it up someday!

Glad to see this!  I'm thinking the new city building parts in Ghostbusters will help you along.  And there's something I like about buildings with carousels in the lobby for no apparent reason :)

Thank you guys! It's nice to be back!

I believe I've mentioned a few times that Coney Island has always had it's seedy underside;

Heheh, to they still have those contests where street gangs compete to see who can strip a car the fastest?

Now there's a building with some character -- both versions!  (although I think yours could use more signs   :P)

Thanks for the sneak peek at the park, Rich!  Your screenshots just don't do justice to the massiveness of this project.  It is just breathtaking.

I love this so much:

I wanted to take a moment to thank several people for their wonderful structures that I have asked for/borrowed, or just plain stolen for this project.

First up, Mr. Orange for his wonderful Blue Heaven Ferris Wheel;

And profmarvel67's wonderful side friction coaster, Roung the Horn;

MaskedBandit graciously allowed me to use a couple of his structures;

His Uthris Greek Restaurant;

and his wonderful Boardwalk Bumps;

Bullethead has contributed his skid row flats;

And he is currently working on something else!  :drool:

Last, but not least, Wagi has contributed a number of structures that really capture the vibe of Coney Island!

Ruby's Clam House;

The Circus/Side Show attraction;

Grashorn Hardware;

Child's Restaurant;

And finally, Gargiulo's Italian Restaurant;

I also wanted to post an overview of the entire bench because of all the requests I have received;

Last weekend I was honored to hop into citytrader's time machine and see all of this up close.  [So glad you posted the overhead, because I don't think any of us realized just how big this project had become...]    This is truly a landmark project, and the way so much of it matches up with actual maps is just staggering.

I had to take a couple of pictures of my own...

Here's to hoping your summer allows LOTS of time to keep adding on to this wonderful piece of history.   :up:

Thank you! And I apologize to you, as I forgot to post your wonderful Tickler ride in my acknowledgements! It was actually one of the very first things that was placed in the park, and I just forgot about it. It is very popular with the peeps! Sorry!

oh, that old thing.. :P   No apology necessary, you showcased the truly talented builders and their creations (Wagi's buildings really stood out to me when I was touring the park)  :up:

oh, that old thing.. :P

About the best spinning coaster I've seen.  Certainly better than the Maurer SC2000, which is a real neck-breaker :).  And I'm flattered one of your beauty shots had my skid row flophouse in it.  Of course, Rich modified it a lot and to the better :D

It's always fun to contribute something to one of your parks Rich!  Especially the part where I get to take my time and do a small project that I LIKE doing and you get to do all the boring stuff like placing paths, and fences, and terra-forming!

I wish MY park projects were that way...  ;D

You forgot stringing the power lines :D.  But yeah, I feel exactly the same.

Speaking of power lines, I think the ones here are brilliant.  They look so real, you tend not to notice them in the pics because we mentally filter them out in daily life.  So, IMHO, that the power lines in the park can hide so well in plain sight is a testament to their perfection.

Very nice job.

What's a "shrimp chicken"?  Is it what yankees call a banty?  Or perhaps a Cornish hen?

You got me, Bullethead!

I just came up with another idea....  Maybe it's a whole chicken stuffed with shrimp and then fried?  That actually sounds like something that would be common in Lousy Anna, but I've never heard of that being done.  But I bet I can find somebody willing to give it a try if I suggest it :)

I believe its like chicken fried steak. Shrimp with a thick flour based breading...but I have also seen fried chicken wings stuffed with shrimp before as well.

OH GAWD, you used my "Ducky-Go-Round"   :facepalm:  I'll never be able to show my face here again.  But at least you had the decency to keep it well in the background  :n00b:

There's less shame in the Frog Hopper, though, because it actually began life as Fisherman's wonderful "Li'l Lighthouse".  Not even the hacksaws of BSI employees can totally ruin that :)
