This continues to develop very nicely. Everything works together so well. I am loving the new section teasers and look forward to seeing the finished product.

Glad you're enjoying the park so far! Progress has been coming along nicely but slowly, mainly due to collaborative work and competition work. But jumping back into the park today, I can finally say that the waterside is looking a little more complete now with Kumara in the skyline. Stay tuned for a big update in the coming days. Just need to make this lift more curved...

Absolutely beautiful pics!  As Fisherman says, they look very much like photos.  All the custom work in those pics is awe-inspiring.

Woooooooow
The video editing is perfect, your screenshots are really great too (they are less saturated than what PC looks like, it makes theme look more realistic, I like it).
The overall atmosphere of the park is very cool, and I some of your buildings are so realistic it hurts. (those pictures °3 & °4 of the last update...)

Every. Single. Screenshot... Is just god damn eye candy! Everything looks so well thought out. But... Does this mean the park is finished and we will never see this beaut again?  :'(

Don't fear this park is nowhere near complete, only about half way there. 9 months in and still a long way to go.

Also, - agreed with above...one of the best recap type videos I have seen yet for this game. How did you do that ghost effect? I know from a video editing standpoint you can blend to of the exact shots, but getting a replicated pan in this game is virtually, if not, impossible? You are a master.

MELTING! Absolutely beautiful. The video could have used some color correction to really make the colors and tones you were trying to achieve pop, but I also greatly appreciate the unedited look from PC. Either way, its brilliant and really brings a sense of excitement, realism, energy, and beauty to the project. Great stuff and can't wait for more of this.

ALSO Brilliant effect with the fireworks at the end. I love that you added a strobing light on the guests to simulate the flashing of the fireworks.

Really, that video was superb!

Quite so.  Both in the videography of making it (the highly appropriate swing-era slowdance soundtrack, the nifty fade-ins of moving stuff, the slow-mo, the light levels chosen) and, overshadowing that, the actual stuff of the park shown.  Beautiful work in both park-building and movie-making.  Double bravo!

Hmm..

tril-li-um (noun):  1.  A plant with a double three-lobed flower.  2.  Synthetic element #134 (symbol Tr) created in the Large Hadron Collider by bombarding Unobtainium nuclei with positively charged Explodium ions.  It has a half-life of only a few microseconds so must be seen to be believed.

This park is still one of my favorites at the moment. You really have oudone yourself. Absolutly great! I really like all thoose custom archs, espacially the one through the colonial area. But the small theatre is wonderfull as well. Even the show has not begun, the atmosphere and audience lighting is fantastic. The woodie is amazing too and I love all the small details like theQ-line bridge over the track. Thoose things and the briliant versatile architecture generating the special theme park vibe. Very inspring at all!

The Magician's Trillium Gardens - Kumara
« Reply #84 on: October 03, 2018, 04:28 PM »
Thanks, everyone for your amazing, kind comments on the video, I really appreciate your feedback. After months of work, I can finally announce the opening of a new land at Trillium Gardens as well as a host of new additions in this huge update. I thought I would get this update in before I have to downgrade my PC to a laptop as I head back up to University tomorrow. I'll break the update down into four sections. Hope you enjoy!

(1) Kumara

Hello and welcome back to Trillium Gardens, its been some time hasn't it. Mainly due to the Planco equivalent of writer's block (shall we call it Builder's block?) as well as an excruciating amount of detail work, I can finally bring this update to you.

We begin in the transition area between Waterside West, Mechanica, and the new land. Where guests are greeted by a grand entrance arch into a new, tropical world.

Through the gate, a great structure emerges between the trees, home to Kumara.

Kumara is an Intamin Megalite; compact, intense and packing a punch.

[excuse the WIP Shot]

Outside Kumara, a small plaza with a seating area can be found.

And to the left of this, Conrad's Heart of Flavour; a quick-serve restaurant serving foods from around the world. It features two entrances, face both the waterfront and Kumara.

On the other side of the Plaza, and by the main entrance gate into the area, is a small set of facades including Bengal traders, the primary gift shop for the area.

Bentley's restaurant also received an extended facade to make room for more indoor seating as well as the kitchens.

(2) Meet and Greets

The medieval fantasy area, still lacking a name, has been given some love. A new meet and greet cottage allows guests to meet Princess Amelie, who tasks guests with the defending of her village against the terrible Grendel.

Her cottage sits at the top of the hill, leading into the new area.

(3) Backstage Work

A lot of time and effort has been put into a new, more realistic backstage with supply routes into the park, delivery stations, staff rest areas, training facilities, maintanence sheds, staff roads, staff car parks and staff canteens. Basically, a lot of the small stuff that not many people will notice but very important in making the park feel more grounded in reality. While I wont post an image of all the things added here is a small selection.

(4) A New Theme

While I love how Kumara turned out, I am so happy to finally be moving onto a new theme, and after three months, I have built another coaster. A MACK Launched Coaster titled Dracul.

More to follow on this but here are some preview shots.

Deep in the forests of Romania, something sinister hunts its prey. Dracul is coming soon.

Hope you enjoyed this big update! Work will continue at a fast pace on the new area and a new update should be out sooner than this one came (sorry). However, if you are interested in small updates multiple times a week, feel free to follow me on Twitter as I update frequently with shots of how Trillium is shaping up as well as other projects I am working on: https://twitter.com/TheMagicianPC

Here are some bonus shots of some of the other projects, hopefully, to make up for my absence:

See you soon!

Damn, Mage, I have no idea where to begin on my profuse outpouring of love for this park.  And your other stuff, too.  Custom walls, roofs, and windows everywhere you look, and all nicely done.  I'm stunned.  But I'll give it my best shot, hitting only what were, to me, the highlights.

Ok....  Up front, amongst all the other wonderful stuff, Conrad's from all sides blew me away.  I've been to that place in most of its incarnations all across the tropical hellhole of which my grid square is only a small part.  You've captured that sort of establishment perfectly.

Princess Amalie's cottage is stunning for many reasons but I have to ask, what's a princess doing in a cottage?  Is there some backstory there yet to be revealed?

The backstage looks awesome in both arrangement and detail, but I noticed something missing.  That is, the cold-storage warehouse, which should be easily identifiable by the maze of ductwork on the roof.  Is that in one of the places you didn't show a picture of?

The Romanian castle is beautiful.,  I especially like the irregular pattern of color/texture changes on the walls, perfectly capturing weathering.  Brilliant!

Finally, the architecture in the "other projects" is totally top-shelf.  What unheard-of parks are they in?

Every single thing I see in these screenshots I wonder, how long did that take to build... Your buildings are just something else. So good. Hopefully the laptop will do the job for the time being.
