I've always loved dusk pictures as well! Dawn is so jarring, it's annoying.

Love the shot of the carousel from across the lake. Looks magical!

Beautiful colors in those two shots. Dark, but not too dark. We can still see what's there.

The first one looks like a van Gogh; during one of his less troubled times. Or maybe one of Seurat's pointillist paintings.

I like the decorative border. And it never occurred to me to have 3-D points-of-interest buttons. I like it! (I may have to steal it.) ;)

Lets move into the next area of the park. This will have 3 distinctive themed areas.

Yellow -
Magic Gardens. Here is the description from my buddy that designed this park.
This walk-through garden will charm adults and children with tiny faeries and gnomes in small homes throughout its rolling hills. Real trees and flowers abound, as well as giant colorful singing faux flowers, giant butterflies, etc. “Hobbit-style” houses are found in one area, while elf and fairy homes made from logs, gourds and other natural elements populate another. Fog rolls through one area of the gardens. The attraction also includes a beautiful waterfall and babbling brook. Animatronics and digital video effects bring the inhabitants of Enchanted Gardens to life. As guests are about to exit the gardens, a cast member invites them to enjoy peppermint tea and butter cookies at a small garden dining area.

While I will veer away from this a bit, I think the final results will have the feel and look of my fiend's vision.

Blue -
Fire Fighter Rescue Mission
Guest “fire fighters” climb aboard an antique fire truck fitted with individual water nozzles and are called on to extinguish several small fires in Elf Village and save the day!

Again, I will have to veer a bit and this will also be a faux ride in the game.

Red -
Drive the USA
Children can drive miniature cars through beautiful landscaping and famous US landmarks in reproduced in miniature, such as the Statue of Liberty, Mt. Rushmore, the Grand Canyon, Hollywood, New York, Chicago and even a miniature Enchanted Lake.

I will build this as close as I can with pieces I can grab from the game and workshop.

It looks so bare-bones right now in the preliminary stage. Looking forward to seeing it come to life!

Sounds interesting. I had always hoped they would come up with a few more transport type rides. Just a thought; how about using the studio tour ride for either the fire engines or the USA ride? Not perfect, but definately more functional!

Good idea, but the fire trucks as vehicles really make this ride come to life, so I think it will stay as a faux ride for now. Drive USA will be the drivable car track ride.

Here is some insight as to how I build these lands. Basic paths, then a throw-up of scenery items I find on the workshop. I just randomly place them in the area and then start moving and placing them around as the vision comes to life in my head.

Well, it's colorful and cute; I'll say that much for it. :P  It's actually a good system, the way you go about developing a new area. It gets you past the 'blank canvas' syndrome, not knowing where to begin.

And....here it is completed.
The white boxes are shops and eateries.
The yellow and green circles are flat rides.
The blue circle is a family coaster.
The red lines are the pathways.

and...without all the lines

Wow, the trees/landscaping makes a LOT of difference! In the 'before' shot, it reminds me of RCT1, or 2. Now it looks like a theme park!

Entrance from the main Enchanted Way path (that goes around the lake.

Entrance near the exit of the hedge maze.

Before getting to the true magic gardens, you meander through some forested paths first.

More wooded walkways as you make your way into the Magic Gardens.

What's that you are starting to see?

Thanks. I was hoping to get the feel of walking through the woods and then the Magic Gardens appear as you get deeper and deeper in.\

Here you can see how dense the forest is from above.

And finally the Magic Gardens start to reveille themselves.

Oooh! Colorful and whimsical. Even adults would enjoy walking through these Gardens. (I would!) I like the in-game(?) lampposts; each one is like a little home for Tinker Bell and her friends. And I especially like how the lights themselves are clusters of mushrooms on a tree branch. Looks like there might be a ride or two in this area as well?

Yes the little blue lights are in game, but the posts were built and found on the workshop. Yes a few rides that will be detailed a bit later.

Re: Enchanted Lake
« Reply #418 on: August 07, 2022, 05:25 AM »
yep...THX

So, looking at the gnome house...the wall and trees behind it really serve as a block to the Fire-Rescue ride that is right behind it. I had to get creative to block the sight line well enough to not take away from the immersive experience of the guests. Yes the taller buildings around the fire ride still peek out way at the top, but other than that the blockade worked pretty well.

A little bridge and some schrooms.

A bit further down the path is a wishing tree.
