Manta Lake
« on: August 05, 2018, 12:57 PM »
Hey everyone,

Since the release of Terra Park (26 Jul, 2017) I havn't touched Planet Coaster at all. I was still watching the episodes of all your well known PC Youtubers. It was only because of an extreme flu that I decided to start playing PC again because I had so much time to kill.

Starting with one coaster and a few shops in the end of June it's now a growing into a full on park. Since the start of this park I wasn't sure if I wanted to create an account on here (seen it was "a lot of work to keep the topic updated") but I decided this place will be a great inspiration and a place for help and criticism. So I hereby present to you...

---

Welcome to Manta lake.

Main entrance with lime accents. With wheelchair access, one-day entrees and a seperate queue for groups.

Side entrance for re-entry and passholders.

Taxi drop off.

Parking.

God i love how these wheelchair icons turned out.

---

You've probably seen some spoilers on the horizon but these screens will be posted another day (If I don't forget that is).

PS: Also no peeps because of FPS.

Welcome to SGW, xRBz!  Glad you decided to show up.  I myself have never had any problems with anything here.

Anyway, that's some OUTSTANDINGLY good and realistic work there!  I look forward to seeing more of this.  I really like your architectural style so far, quite tasteful and lots of not-square stuff ;).

And yes, those handicap icons are great.  How'd you do that?

Love the handicap park lanes - but if youi want to make one slight adjustment to make them even more real...change the lines to be blue.

Mostly art shapes and if I remember correctly one of the new custom supports because it had a different sized circle. I'll put it on the workshop when I'm home from work.

Good one! I'll recolor them.

Here's a small theater close to the side entrance.

Excuse me... I just really suck with lighting...

MORE PLAZA WORK

It sure is tough making some kind of progress on a regular work day but I got some decent progress this week. I got the basic layout and design of my plaza done. It still needs some detailing here and there.

It also got one of them toilets everyone makes with the water fountains...

Here's a shot of the backstage. In hindsight these trucks probably need to be golfcart or some kind of service vehicle. Because the trucks can't reach this backstage without driving trough the park...

This is the gate that leads to the backstage area.
Oh, and here is an aerial shot of the plaza:

ALSO: Be prepared of a custom new flat ride coming to a workshop near you

I cannot get over how clean cut everything is. I'm glad you added the curved turnstile covers, it adds a needed off-the-grid element.
And who doesn't love some backstage porn. :)

That's some great work.  I'm especially impressed with all the custom roofing.  Those standing-ridge metal roofs especially look great.

Because I didn't like the enormous footprint I decided to make my own. It's also available for download:

Incredible work; I love the clean realism, the scale is absolutely perfect and the way you frame your screenshots gives them a really authentic photograph feel. Can't wait to see where you go next with this!

SMALL RESTAURANT

Here's the location of the small restaurant, right next to Trigger. Also I made some progress on the swinging ship:

Your park is very rigid and it works very well with the cleanliness of your builds. Your landscape design is clean and well layed out providing bits of shade across large walkways without being overbearing. And that parking lot is the best yet. Great stuff.

NEW AREA + FIRST COASTER

Woohoo! Manta Lake now has it's first coaster. And It's right next to the parking lot.

There's also a new restaurant inbetween the coaster and TRIGGER!

Here are some more detail shots of the coaster:

The station is also filled with color :)

The queue with some refreshments

And I especially love this corkscrew + turnaround right before the brakes...

Thanks to intim305. Who noticed me the layout is looking more like a floorless coaster. I will change the coaster trains in the future.

ACCELERATOR COASTER, PICNIC & LIGHTING

Wow, another update. The comeback is real! This update there's once again a new coaster added to the park.
But first I added some more buildings near Clash. Yep, that's the name for the coaster...

Also TRIGGER got some more foliage.

And here it is... The picnic/party/playground area next to the park entrance. And I can tell you, that is one steep slide.

Oh and there is a basketball game nearby:

And then the elephant in the room, the new (second) coaster. A accelerator coaster. Themed in our beloved Ferrari F1 cars.

And yes, those lights work.

Besides that I also worked a bit more on the lighting.
I don't like lighting because I'm bad at it, plz help.
