S.D. Zoo Safari Park - Nairobi Station

Nairobi Station



The Nairobi Station features the animal care center and houses many of the smaller inhabitants of the park.






African artifacts, along with some humorous signage, decorates the area.









African Bullfrog, found in southern Africa's savannas.



Black Milk Snake, from Costa Rica and Panama.



African Grey Parrot, from the forests of central Africa.



Chinchilla, from northern Chile.



Lesser Hedgehog Tenrec, from southern Madagascar.



Pancake Tortoise, found in Kenya and Tanzania.



Plush-crested Jay, from central South America.



Prehensile-tailed Skink, from the Solomon Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean.



Sugar Glider, found in the forest of Australasia.



White's Tree Frog, from Australia and New Guinea.

Re: The White's Tree Frog-  Are you sure that's a tree frog? I always thought tree frogs were kinda skinny and nimble looking; the ones from South America anyway. But this one? It looks like a pile of intestines and internal organs that spilled out of an unfortunate creature. 8|

Yes it is. Maybe it's a very well-fed tree frog. :P

Guests entering Nairobi Station are greeted by this guy.


Robert the Zebra



Robert the Zebra is a digital, interactive show inside Nairobi Station.



Robert interacts with the audience, asking and answering questions, as well as just shooting the breeze with guests.



The "show" is more tailored for kids, and they have a lot of fun with Robert as he jokes around with them. They may even learn a thing or two about the park and animal conservation.

Robert? How'd they come up with that name? I guess they wanted to steer clear of all the usual 'Z' names. Looks like fun though.
