Sooo... the upshot is- simulated themeparks have better lighting than real parks? Who knew.

I like all the paper bag lanterns- hope it doesn't rain. :D

I've noticed the same thing on my last visit to the Disneyland Resort. Main Street is nice and bright, but some of the other lands are hardly lit up at all. I kept thinking, "they need to add more lamp posts here so the paths are bright like mine are in Planet Coaster." :P

Moving onto section 3 of this land

This section contain the following blueprints:
Medium Egyptian House by shiremct
Mad Scientist Workshop - Shop Skin by Wikz (which I re-purposed as the Observatory restaurant. I also actually added in game working restaurant cubes inside.)
The Florist Caravan by Wikz
In front of Moorish building I made - is medieval market by Arisylphia

I like that last shot best. If you're standing where the camera is and you look down the street, you see all the lanterns and interesting buildings- it draws you in. Makes you want to walk over there and see what it's all about.

Is there some significance to the giant floating pumpkin next to the Observatory restaurant? :P

its a small hot air balloon that was part of the blueprint. I was going to swap it out with the in game one, but it was just too larger for this area, so I left it as is and thought it worked ok. It looks better from other angles.

I was also going to connect the different building along this path more, but in the end decided it was better to allow the views of the river between them as this part is more like a street along the river. I also tried flipping the buildings so the main walk was along the water, but I didn't like the way the building felt more separated from the rest of the area when I did that.

Wowman, you sell your own Moorish building short here ;).

Anyway, I was curious about that "flying pumpkin" from earlier pics and think it works in fine as-is.  As for lines of sight across the "bayou" (I live next to the bottom end of The (Mississippi) River where it's nearly 1 mile wide even when not in flood stage so anything smaller is a bayou/creek to me), I see all kinds of interesting things in the background there and in the previous series of pics, too.

Some of those background buildings you see are just placeholders of stuff I downloaded from the workshop and might be placed in the general area you see them...or not used in the end. Thats how I plan to place what I want to use so I don't forget I downloaded them by the time I get to that section of the park.

Beautiful scenery.  Except in the 1st pic, there's some horrible thing near the left edge.  Luckily, you mostly hid it behind a tree ;)

The Kris kringle hats on the skulls?... Genius!
The Christmas tree centered on the compass?... Again genius!
The strings of lights on the plaza airplane?... (Well, you get the picture.) :P

This is beautiful, wowman.  I've really liked your custom font on the park logo, but in this update I think the illuminated compass directions really stand out for me (helps having all these shots at night!)  Lots of clever holiday theming ideas in here that I may need to come back to some day,  I always run out of ideas quickly for the Christmas decorations.

I like that panorama shot. :)  You really should transfer those old photos to more permanent stock. The nitrate is disintegrating fast. :P

THX guys! Appreciate the comments

looking from above again, we will not take a closer look at this area of the Port of Call.

this section includes the following blueprints from the workshop
Missy Good icecream cart by Woody
Calhoun's Restaurant by Sdanwolf
Nepali Pagoda by Bullethead

I did modify Calhoun's to be call Renee's and also modified the entry porch to allow for actual entry as I added restaurant blocks to the inside.

I also added a billboard to the inside to give the appearance of a more filled interior.

Mmmmmm, BBQ! :D  I like what you did with that building.  That NFPA 101-compliant staircase is a nice touch :)

I'm flattered to have one of my humble creations next to one of Sdanwolf's masterpieces, but I do feel mine detracts from his :).

Grad some ice cream outside Renee's

Renee's backside

I need to look up who made this arch that I made into more of a canopy-like structure.
