Sure, the pool looks tranquil. But I bet it's filled with hungry, charging, crocs! :P
I like how you start seeing signs of civilization (barrels, crates, etc.) as you get near the end of the ride.

This looks like it would be a real fun ride. And the postcard is a nice touch.

I like the natural paths in that last shot. This area (Harambe) is shaping up really well: colorful, lush, complex, exciting, and rustic-  a winning combination. :)

Mind BLOWN!!!! Amazing (as usual) work!
I think like I live like I work like I love.....voluminous and disjointed. Get used to it.

THX guys...lots more to come.

So, off to the side of the main walkway, on the other side of the tracks, I have a dead end walkway that has a few vendors and an animal exhibit at the far end. Just a nice place to get some quiet and rest if you need it.

Impressive as always, and I'm always astounded by your method of using billboards as paths.  My questions are these:  Where do you find the images as I imagine "seamless" is critical for it to work.  Also, do you think that many billboards affects framerate?  So many other things are affecting framerate these days that it probably doesn't matter much anymore, but I'm just curious so you're using so many of them.

I search the internet, or take my own photos from Disney parks (ground, walls, etc.). The key is to look for non-repeatable patterns or large swings in lighting and color as those show up more when placed next to each other. But, even with that, a trick I learned is to flip the billboard around...so light on one end, dark on the other...don't place the next board the same way, but to flip it so dark is against dark. I get lucky and it works out a lot. If not I try to hide it with path borders/breaks, or with something else. If you were to look close enough you can see all the imperfections, but overall the look usually come out being OK.

FPS - I have so much crap in my parks, I couldn't even tell you what hurts it more than others. Unless its day 1 start up of a new project...I have learned to deal with a 5-7 FPS no matter what I do in this game. :D

I found that demo video very interesting and informative, wowman. And I don't even have the game. :n00b:

In that last screenshot-  You have marijuana vendors in your park? That green cross looks like a medical marijuana dispensary. You see them everywhere in these parts. Although, the green and white areas are usually reversed.

LOL - I had no clue. That was part of a blueprint on that building.

First - I found another friend wandering around my park.

Here is the meerkat viewing area at the end of this walkway.

The walkway from above

A drone shot of the Harambe area we have already taken a look at earlier.

And, what it looks like entering this area from the Port of Call bridge

Really nice pics, as usual. The meerkat enclosure looks very realistic. Plenty of hills for the critters to keep watch from, lots of places for burrowing. Everything I know about meerkats I learned from shyguy's San Diego Zoo posts in the Turnstile Tribune. ;)

About the green cross symbol (white cross with a green background): I did a few seconds of googling and discovered that it means the same as the red cross symbol; it just means First-Aid. The marijuana sign is a green cross with a white background. Who knew?

Those train tracks...  that's a normal train, right?  Not a coaster?  Either way, I'll be anxious to ride, the scenery from it looks incredible.

The huge amount of buildings, scenery and rides make it so complex. There are so many details built in this fascinating park. So many things to discover. You do an amazing job here! :)

btw. the poster above looks very good, really professional. How did you do it?

Yes - that is a normal train track and I will have a video for this part of the track when I start putting the vids together.

Just edit a screen capture in a photo edit program, add the border and the words as overlay.

Re: the poll-  I voted for South America. When I'm building my own parks I'll spend a lot of time on one ride or area. Afterwards, I feel the need to work on a differently themed ride, to cleanse the palate so to speak. It keeps my creative juices flowing. That said, Harambe didn't take all that long to build. Maybe you're still in an 'Africa' mood. If so, then on to Egypt! If you're still having big problems with the game then maybe something smaller, like the Nepal area, is the way to go. Bottom line: It's up to you! Work on whichever area you feel like the most. :)

Egypt seems like it would be the most unique of the others in terms of not wanting to repeat themes you've already worked with
