Quote: "JB - Where do you see that..in one of my signs?"

In the first pic of your previous post- the green sign that's front and center. At least I think that's what it says; my vision has been quite blurry since I got out of the hospital, don't know why (getting better though).

Your latest post: I like the 2nd screenshot best. Something about the play of light and shadow on the street, plus the colors, the overall busy-ness of the marketplace, and the tangle of wires overhead.

LOL - that is what it says and as much as I looked at these signs I never noticed that

more street scenes

and now lets take a look at all the facades down the entire street. Starting with the east side of the street.

I like the "Timbuctoo" Hotel sign; especially the misspelling. I have no idea what a North African desert town has to do with Nepal, but it's the sort of random/arbitrary signage one would expect to see in this far-off exotic locale.

WOW, Wowman!  That chaotic cacophony of street signs really captures the place as I've seen it on the Internet.  I think I might have seen a hint of a familiar building behind all that but I might be mistaken.  But regardless, it looks excellent!

Glad to see you're still at it and that your computer problems (which I'm proud to say I had nothing to do with this time) seem to have gotten better.

Merry Christmas!

Hey - good to hear from you again, been a while. Yes some of your work is spot-lighted in this land. I will give credit as its well deserved...I just forget to do that sometimes.

Moving further down the east side of the street...you can see i used billboards for some building fronts, and there are also actual working food/drink stands and shops built into some of the store fronts.

The rough, eroded billboard walls really add a lot of character to the buildings. I like the sign that simply states "Yeti Items". I guess one doesn't need to say any more than that if a shop owner want to attract tourists interested in yetis.

many of these signs are from Disney's Animal Kingdom (including that one). Some I found online, but many I took pictures of when I was there.

I'm kinda curious what Dr. Pepper's "exotic powders" and "refreshing emollients" are... probably a feminine hygiene thing. I like the Coca Cola billboard wall; so random, yet so fitting.

Nepalese Spuds? I wonder how they differ from the Idaho variety. I'd be curious enough to try them. I like the wood carvings above the ground floor of the building in the last 2 pics.

At the end of the street is a stable and behind the stable and the main street is an alleyway that is less crowded and traveled.

Looks fantastic.   You did a good job hiding my ugly building ;)

Seriously, this is exactly the sort of thing I made it for, to be part of a VERY busy main street.  And somehow I knew you'd be the one to put it to proper use.

As we move off the main street and take a look at the outskirt areas of this land...here is a list of all the major workshop items that were used in these areas.
Qin Oracle by grampers62
Qin Prayer hut 01 by grampers62
Qin Rainbow Bridge by grampers62
Qin vending shell by grampers62
Nepali-style Shrine by Bullethead
Japanese Watchtower by ktjamison
Park Area Entrance Signs by Rutger27
Asian building by JimiMac
Bridge by drld
the DYNASTY CASTLE by Flarback

Here is the second bridge to this Nepal 'island' that will come from what will eventually be the SE Asia area of the park. Yes, some of the items you see will be more oriental looking than Nepal looking, but I decided I could take some creative liberty's here.

After crossing the bridge, the path makes it way into this sort of welcome house where you can either take the path to the left or the right from the house.

The right side takes you through a quaint garden walkway

Where you cross yet a second bridge to get to the main Nepal area

One can get lost in all the beauty and authenticity of this area; but then you look up and see the rides and... it's also a FUN place to be!

Those custom bridges are simply gorgeous. Really innovative rockwork, too!

be sure to see my workshop credits as some of the main structures for these are from other builders that I modified to fit my park.

Water level shot

This bridge is a bit more hefty

The plaza area at the end of the main street. In the distance you see the pathway to the coaster station which is a bit more on the rustic side compared to the hustle and bustle of the main street.

I love that first screenshot. The view one must get while riding that tour boat: The rock cliffs covered with colorful foliage, and the arch of the (Rainbow?) bridge overhead- beautiful. I wanna ride that ride. :)

That 2nd-to-last pic, with the shrine used as a path roof, is genius!  I'd have never thought of that ;)
