Bird Aviaries
One thing you can't say about the Safari Park is that they don't have a lot of exotic birds on display. Right outside the Lorikeet Landing are a pair of aviaries with nice selection of unique and colorful birds.

White-crested Laughingthrush, from Nepal to South China.

Green Woodhoopoe, from sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition to the funny name, the Green Woodhoopoe looks more blue than green.

White-crowned Robin-chat, from the dense woodlands of Africa.

Red-crested Turaco, from the Southwest Democratic Republic of Congo and south through Angola.

White-winged Duck, from India, Sumatra, Bangladesh, and Burma.

White-headed Buffalo-weaver, from southern Sudan, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. (He doesn't seem too happy about being photographed.

)

Great Blue Turaco, from the rain forests of West and Central Africa.

Another Great Blue Turaco.

Congo Peafowl, from the forests of the Congo in Africa.

Himalayan Monal, from, you guessed it...the Himalayan Mountains.
