Okay, here is one that I may not be able to answer on the scary side. My favorite movie for this season however, is The Tower Of Terror.

Again - a tough one, but  have to go with the classic, probably the first I saw in a theater...the original Halloween.

For me it's definitely Cabin in the Woods. Not scary, and maybe even a bit weird. But it's meant as criticism to other horror movies, and I agree with the directors thought :)

Edit: wow... Looked like I was drunk... Let me correct all the typos...

That is one of the best movies I have ever seen...nothing what I expected going into watching it.

I guess I'll go with Halloween 3. Just a so-so movie (like most horror flicks), but it has an advertisement in the movie that gets played frequently; a real earworm of a song based on the "London Bridge Is Falling Down" melody. Gah! Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!!!! :laughing_skull:

I don't watch many horror movies, but I liked The Shining. Classic, weird, suspenseful - but not heavy on jumpscares.

^ Stanley Kubrick certainly gave it his unique touch. But I liked the book better.

Not really a horror flick, but I can't recommend Mandy enough to people.

Nic Cage at maximum crazy is best Nic Cage.
I've lost my mind, isn't that great?

[...]but not heavy on jumpscares.

I think jumpscares are the wrong way to frighten people.
The movie 1408 has 2 jumpscares but could've done without, cause it's a movie that get's you thinking.
Also would really recommend that one: "1408"
