A Few Quick Questions
« on: November 02, 2018, 02:26 PM »
Hi everyone! Apologies in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong place. After a long hiatus from the game, I recently reinstalled RCT3 and was instantly hooked on it again. I'm easing back into things but I have a few questions, if anybody is able to help me out?

1. Track connectors - I've been playing about with the various tracks but I'm struggling to find connectors that will allow me to make realistic custom supports, especially for the mini coaster track (that the Roller Skater CTR from Revolutionary Rides comes on) and Intamin Blitz style track. Does anybody have any links or recommendations for CS? I have Moby's Steel Jungle sets and SafariJ's Arrow sets already but these are pretty incompatible, and I'd like something with diagonal connectors if possible.

2. Going 'off grid' - Can anyone please recommend some tutorials/threads where I can gain some pointers on creating more fluid pathways? I'm used to sticking to straight lines and diagonals only but I'd like to create more realistic parks with interesting curves and angles this time round.

3. How to go full screen - I've played with my settings and looked through a few tutorials but they're all either outdated or missing steps. Is there anyway I can make the game full screen? It's currently a small box in the centre of the screen surrounded by black edges. I'm using Windows 10, 1920 x 1080 screen resolution.

Thanks in advance, good to be back on the forums.

Hi and welcome back to RCT3! I'm relatively new to the game so unfortunately can only help you with your second question. Once you know how, its actually easy to get paths like this, without using any terrain covers (which can cause problems with the graphics for lighting, especially at night)

For this path i used briantjuh94's Pathcovers 2.0 (You can change the texture of this set- it comes with intructions but I actually started a thread on this asking how it was done as it wasn't working for me, until I recently solved the problem, so if you need any help, just ask

And Shyguy's Planters 1 for the borders (they fit perfectly)

Also sh9032's Path Covers v2 https://rctgo.com/downloads/view/sh9032-s-path-covers-v2-not-mine.11876
These are the same shape as briantjuh94's, without the option to change texture, and they are recolourable.
