Speed doesnt change when testing hydraulic lanuch coaster
« on: February 02, 2019, 01:48 PM »
Hi folks,

I'm testing my new coaster in PC right now.
But when I change speed of the hydraulic launch section and then test the ride it does not apply.
Any suggestions for fixing this issue?
The game is superb btw.

Which coaster are you messing with, specifically?

Anyway, launchers have a target speed.  You have to select the launcher segments and change that to the desired speed.  Also jack the acceleration up (remembering 10m/s^2 is about 1G).  But even with the acceleration jacked up, getting decently high speeds requires a long launcher.  If you don't build the launcher long enough, you'll never reach the desired speed even if you've set everything correctly.

I built hydraulic launch right now. but its too fast. the launch segement is 20m but  i cant lower the speed for some reason.
Is it a diffrence when I built the track pieces from reverse to conncect some pieces of track at the launch section?
its really a pitty the coaster is really good but the lanuch does not work. sometimes its too fast and sometimes the train just run through the track segment not launching and nothing happens. but I've placed a block brake one or two segments before the hydraulic launch
