Neat concept for a ride, iEddiez; dividing it up into two show buildings: fire & water, heat & cold, red & blue... (I'll stop now). I like how the track goes briefly outside as the cars leave the station, and the gods of fire and water straddling the track as we enter the building. Excellent use of the spinning coaster to keep us disoriented and guessing as to what comes next. I was going to say that I missed your cleverly funny narration, but this isn't the type of ride that needs it-  fast paced, and it tells its own story. Nicely done. :)

Spoiler (hover to show)

This year at Silverscreen Studios we have seen a mix of highs and lows. Our newest coaster Elemental has not increased attendance as we had hoped. Perhaps we expanded too quick in the park too soon?

Our 5 year projection plan includes 0 investment within the Silverscreen Studios park itself but a transformation of the surrounding plazas.

We have something else up our sleeve which is going to blow you away, we are certain of that.

Anyway, bricks to lay, walls to paint.

See you very shortly (5 years)...

Looking forward to being blown away. :)

Quote: "I reckon a narrated ride should be on the cards soon... what do you think?"

Most definitely! I'll be waiting with bated breath, on pins and needles, wringing my hands, salivating... (okay, I'll stop now.)

Welcome Back!

It's been a while and whilst things have been tough at the park, we have still had a great few seasons.

Today we are happy to unveil our hard work.

Lets start at Silverscreen Studios

The Lake at the entrance plaza has been transformed into The Boardwalk. Full of seaside outlets and more.

You can now take a relaxing boat ride around the Lake or take a boat to the new resort hotel.

The Director Suites is your new luxury hotel. Closer to the park, closer to the fun.

We of course welcome the whole family.

We have also made some changes around the main plaza of the park.

You are probably asking yourselves "Why does the resort have a Monorail when everything is within walk distance?"

Good question, let us take a ride on said Monorail to see where we end up...

Well, here is the station at the other end.

We may or may not (we absolutely have) built another park!

This has been kept under wraps for quite some time. Another good reason why investment has slowed over at Silverscreen Studios.

We aren't quite ready to take you into the park yet but come back soon!

I really like that large round plaza with all the flowers and water (fountain?). And how it's framed by the monorail track encircling it. At first glance, the new park has a definite Disney vibe to it. Nice update iEddiez.

Spoiler (hover to show)

As Resort Manager, I get the pleasure of wandering the park as often as I like. Today was not filled with excitement sadly. I saw a lack of excitement and short queues for everything. Which is of course bad for business and investors will look down at the results of the investments.

People seem to be enjoying Elemental, but the queue was sitting at a comfortable hour.

Cop Out, 15 minutes....

Monster Hunter was operating on a 'if guests turn up' basis.

Heavy Metal, 2 hours! It seems that the most intense coaster (and first built) in the park is still pulling the crowds.

However, it's not all doom and gloom.

As you can see, the Resort Transport is testing and we now have a sign!

Rocket Restaurant has closed its doors and has been boarded up.

We will be adding a Hotel Exclusive entrance here in the coming months.

I'll leave you today with another lovely shot of the Resort Transport reflected in the Silverscreen Studios entrance lake.

See you shortly...

I love how the Elemental track banks outward as it makes that turn out of the station. I saw it in your video but forgot to mention it.

Why are there so few guests?! :scared:  Clearly it's due to the shortcomings of the guests, not the park, or rides; which are great! (Maybe this is just your way of letting us know that changes are coming. ;))

I really like the shot looking down Main Street toward the castle. Is there a ride inside the Castle of Wonder, or is that the Mad House? I love how the coaster goes through the 2 towers/buildings. Beautiful shot of the entrance of the Bubble Beer Tour.

It's been a while everyone but with some resolved technical difficulties our new park, Realms of Wonder IS NOW OPEN!

We've worked really hard to make this entrance hide the magic behind the walls.

Our Mainstreet is where your next adventure begins.

Don't worry if you want to take a load off, take the train around the park!

All of our rides have had ~80% up-time today which I think is great for a first days operation.

One ride that was not ready to WOW guests was Dr Phantazticks' Steam Machines. It's been testing all day but sadly there is an issue with the magnetic launch system.

That's it for now! Realms of Wonder has finally opened and we cannot be happier to welcome guests to our new park.

Check in shortly for updates across both Silverscreen Studios and Realms of Wonder!

I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but that's a great looking Mainstreet. A lengthy full-sized street with many shops. Do any of the shops have interiors, or are they facades only?

Realms of Wonder

The park has been open for a week now and things seem to be going very well. Attendance is higher than the opening day of the original park, Silverscreen Studios. This has mad investors very happy. Building the new park has been worth it so far!

Guests are entering in their hordes from the main hub of the resort over at Silverscreen Studios. At present parking is only available at the  Silverscreen Hub and then Realms of Wonder is just a short Monorail ride away.

Dr Phantazticks' Steam Machines finally opened today after some technical difficulties.

These lucky guest are about to be on the first public train.

Let's hope this success continues!

Silverscreen Studios

Numbers have been dwindling over at the original park. It's been a fair number of years since we opened and it's fair to say that guests want the next BIG thing.

It's with great sadness that today we have announced that our original white knuckle coaster, Heavy Metal has ceased operation for the foreseeable future.

We are experiencing multiple issues with the rides launch mechanism and the foundations that the coaster is sat on seem to be wearing quicker than we anticipated.

It's with regret that an official POV was never released but YouTube would have blocked it anyway as we would never be able to afford the music rights a second time around.

The amplifier has been unplugged...

In slightly happier news, there is a new entrance to the park!

Over at the Hotels, you can now enter through Science City!

That's all for now, tune in next time for updates on the fate of Heavy Metal.

Over at Silverscreen I have some photos of Heavy Metal being dismantlement.

The 'Arena' has also shut up shop...

It feels that the park is a shadow of it's former self with this major shakeup, however, Silverscreen Studios will be a hotspot of all film buffs again shortly...!

Excellent version of a minetrain coaster; lots of (seemingly) rickety track hugging the landscape. Looks like you have a pest control problem- I spotted an alligator/croc swimming around in the pond. ;)

Thanks for the post JB - I hope you are well! Ahh, you spotted Ol' Alan. He hangs out under Rose Hill Mine...

I think it's about time shared the Dr Phantaztick attractions too!

I'll be back soon to share updates from the parks.

Just catching up on the progress of the new park and it looks amazing! I especially love the main street area. Excited to see the changes coming to Silverscreen Studios as well.

Thanks for the comment!

Lets get all the updates done in one go and then we can go from there in terms of the story.

Realms of Wonder

Dragon Chaser has started thrilling guests with is modern take on the classic wooden coaster!

Rose Hill Mine (2.0) has re-opened and it is proving as popular as ever.

The new expansion has meant that we needed to expand the small queueline.

That means we have lost one of our attractions in Rose Hill.

You do get some lovely views of the mine train though.

Silverscreen Studios

Fans of the park were upset when we announced that Heavy Metal was being removed.

The park knew that we had to pull something out of the bag to replace it.

So, we built three new attractions on the same plot of land.

Stuntfall - a brand new roller coaster simulating free fall, just like a stunt actor would experience!

This coaster acts as a shuttle so you will travel backwards too...! Thrilling.

The new coaster only takes up the queue and brake run of Heavy metal so what could possibly take up the huge backlot the main layout occupied?

Introducing Studio Tour and Mission: Pew

Back at the Theme Parks roots is a working movie studio so on Studio Tour guests will take a Behind the Scenes look at how movies are made. Special Effects, Creature Workshops and Stunts. Fun for all the family.

Mission: Pew is an indoor family shooting gallery. Test your skills, shoot some targets and cry about the fact your Mum beat you by 1000's of points!

Finally, we have expanded the dining experiences toward the backlot.

I like how you gave us both the spinning view and the non-spinning view. The ride has simple, but effective theming with the green lawn and the topiaries. Looks nice. :)
