Oakshade Park
« on: November 03, 2019, 01:48 PM »
So I am winding down my Riviera Winds park and have announced my newest creation

Oakshade Park

This park was slowly in the works and I got a lot of ideas from NoNameLandia

I am going to make this my best park and here is the beginning stages to the park.

Front Entrance and parking

What already a coaster crazy

Its a work in progress.  Leave me suggestions I am not going to bounce around as I did with Riviera Winds.  I am going to stick to one area at a time.

I love the highway sign! Very realistic!

I feel like I'm not getting the full effect of the screenshots because it's scrolling off the page -- if you add a "width=850" to each image tag they'll fit on one screen...

I do see a lot of good stuff though... the curved buildings, custom flat roofs, and I really like the signage.  Beware of limiting your color palette too much though..  Sticking with 2 colors is something I've been very guilty of myself.  :(

That's a problem with the Classic Theme. It has problems re-sizing images from Steam. The new Default Theme re-sizes all images correctly. If you insist on using the old Classic Theme, you can right click on the image and select "View Image" to see it re-sized to fit the screen.

Thanks for the feedback.

The color choice is only going to be for the main entrance area I will branch colors out when i start doing the themed areas.

New update.

New entrance that i really like, im still detailing it disregard that building to the right, that was the original entrance and it did not look good at all.  The building to the left is guest services im going to change the color some.

I'm digging the architecture and the tight turns on the coaster.

I'm going to pretend that the blue domes on the Kid's Castle are inflated bouncy houses. :P (Are they?) I can picture the little tykes careening off the springy walls; slamming into each other. I like the Medieval-themed courtyard inside.

Ahh, I kinda liked the idea of the domes being bouncy houses. :D  But the new roofs do look nice. I like the crown on top of the topiary arch. And the Joshua trees(?) at the entrance of Space Ranger have a nice alien/sci-fi look to them.

This is going somewhere, there is a vision behind this for sure. Still looking a bit 'plain' but it's not like I have much to show off with. Would like to know the g forces on that unique twist on the dive coaster though, looks wildly uncomfortable esp. on the outer seats ;)

This park is starting out great! It is simple yet has a certain charm with it. The charm really comes from the landscaping, and I feel if you keep working with that aspect as a "seller" this park will be even more magnificent. Again, you are off to a great start, and as you move on you will get picky with how things look.

Its actually only 1.2 gs its actually pretty slow in this part of the ride

First season of Oakshade Park is complete

Season two is starting to ramp up.  Just a small update
The Whip is starting to begin theming

While riding King Cobra somebody noticed that some tree clearing and a hidden coaster and some rides were deep in the trees,
Could possibly be the start of season 3
