Now we are going to move to the central plaza of the Zoo, including the North Mall and the central Roosevelt Fountain areas. Circled in green in the master plan map below. This also includes the large picnic area that was previously built, but has been modified recently to work better in the game. Also, that large yellow striped area to the west of the mall will be an enlarged mixed ungulate area that will have a jeep ride going through it (this will be built at a later time).

Here is an overhead shot of this area.

Looking south (towards the fountain) from above the North Plaza.

Same view only closer to the ground

Towards the north end of the mall there was a train station we looked at much earlier, but now the area as the train enters the station has been completed.

Here is the train crossing for both paths in the north mall.

Do the peeps just walk through the train, like ghosts, as the train goes across the pathway?

Here is a bird's eye view looking down at these track crossings and entrance to the station.

located in the upper left in the above photo, is the wooded picnic area. there are plenty of shaded tables and natural paths throughout. this can also be used as a cut through to get to the big cats area that we have seen previously.

The North Mall area now connects directly to the big cat section of the zoo. This is looking at the pathway from above the tiger habitat.

From above. The paths along the tigers have been landscaped now, toilets added, and quiet sitting areas added. Note the train passing by and the playground on the other side of the tracks as well.

I had pics of this a bit earlier, but here is another of the train track going through the ungulate habitat along side of the North Mall area.

The train passing through the ungulate habitat.

I'm still expecting to see slugs, snails, and jellyfish. :P

When the train leaves the ungulate area it passes through some landscape areas, past the playground, and crosses over the North Mall.

Here is where the train passes between the playground/North Mall and the tiger habitat.
