[WIP] Turtle Bay - Phase One - Episode 9, new water ride !

Hi everyone !

I'm glad to show my first park on Planet Coaster Console Edition, also my first park on Planet Coaster at all. Before going any further, I'm French, so I would like to apologize in advance if my English is not perfect, I will do my best.

Turtle bay is a tropical park on the theme of pirates, lost civilizations and there will also be an area based on the Caribbean islands.

The entrance is done but, there are some things to improve like the backstage, the lighting and add more details here and there. Also I have a big empty place that need to be fill, I need to find a cool building to put here.

I already did two episodes on Youtube to show the park, but it's in french, so here some pictures of it :

Very nice! :)  You did an excellent job with the pirate theme. I like how the structures are of different architectural styles and are created with whatever the pirates could lay their hands on: rocks from a nearby quarry, old ships, clay tiles, etc. I also like the layout of the Pirates Mountain coaster; very twisty and turny. And welcome to shyguy's World, Baneif.

Hi everyone !

Thanks a lot JB, it's a pleasure to read your comment :) .

Here is a nice update, there have been a lot of evolutions in the park.

And let's start with the backstage.


This area includes a warehouse and a building for employees.


The warehouse is open, let's see what's in there.


This is where trucks unload their cargo for the park.




Access is secure, a security guard allows authorized persons to enter.


A suspension bridge has been added to the coaster.




And here is the new zone.


It is an urban area of ​​piracy in the caribbean, surely high society people resided here.


There are snacks and services.


Pretty fountain in the middle of the square.


The new attraction is Topspin type and is very themed.


You can see the queue in the back, visitors can admire the attraction while waiting their turn.


Several special effects are triggered!


And here is a new restaurant.


With a nice terrace...


...that allows you to see the coaster


A drink stand is disguised as a stagecoach.


It's interesting, that looks so real.




And you can see here the time lapse of some builds of this update :

Lots of interesting details here. :)  I like how the pirates re-use barrels and crates from the ships for planters and such. The suspension bridge looks great amongst the jungle foliage.

I would lose my mind doing something this detailed with a controller. The proportions of everything look very nice! Especially the backstage area, very realistic.

Thank you, actually Frontier did an amazing job to make it fun and easy to play, but I won't lie, it takes a little time to adapt and I'm sure that it's a bit less efficient than on a PC.  :)

The evolution of the park continues, here is a quick update inside the restaurant :

Hello everyone !

The evolution of the park continues:


The dark ride of the previous update has made a lot of progress (I have to find a little name for it, maybe you have an idea).
Here the storyline of the ride :
A pirate and his gang plundered the fort of his majesty to seize the most coveted treasure. Many died there, he returned alone with the treasure but once home, the curse struck him.

The indoor work is completely finished, here are some pictures:

The exterior works have already started well:

Thanks for the walk-through and the ride-through, Baneif. The movement of the various characters adds a lot to the experience that we don't get in the still images. And everything looks as good as I thought it would. My only quibble (very minor) is that the ride cars move at too fast a speed. If you hadn't shown us the ride in the walk-through first I wouldn't have noticed a lot of the scenery whizzing by.

Thanks a lot ! I agree, the cars move too fast, for the next park I will choose a type of ride that I can adjust the speed even in the descents :) .

Here are some news from the park, the seaside area is now complete and a very nice bridge has appeared, I let you discover all this in video:



As I play on console I am limited by the counter which is already filled to 81%. I'm afraid I won't be able to finish the park: cry:.
