Good catch, JB! Yes, and yes.

I have actually done a ton of research and am recreating Bedford Falls as closely as practical. Of course, the whole thing was a set on the RKO backlot. Only one building in the entire movie was real, the Martini "castle" in Bailey park. The gym of Beverly Hills High School is where the swimming pool scenes were filmed.

Here's a pic of the old RKO backlot small town street;



The tall building is the Anderson department store where the Bailey Building and Loan occupies the second floor.

That house!   The scale is perfect

Love the snow on the road in the top shot, I'm going to make a suggestion of using the snow pieces to add a few heaps on the sidewalks where maybe they shoveled up against the buildings and around the lightposts and stuff... ?

Yes the main street does look bigger then meets the eye. I still can't get over the realism with the snow in the road and sidewalks.

Well, it's been a year since I had an update, so what the heck!

Some more stores along Gennesee Street;







The Water & Power building;



The train station;



And the high school;



One of the smaller homes lining Bridge Street;

The high school is immediately recognizable as a school. In the first screenshot, I quickly scanned the text and thought it said "Stoners" instead of Stationers. Ha! I'd like to see that in Bedford Falls!

Nice images but... it always seems to be Christmastime, and nighttime, in Bedford Falls. ;)  It does evoke scenes from the movie though.

George and May Bailey live at 320 Sycamore Street. She has done a wonderful job turning that old wreck into a beautiful home!!!
