Hohenzollern Castle Park
« on: July 16, 2022, 02:32 AM »
Background story:

Recently a forgotten castle has been discovered, lying on top of mount Hohenzollern. The third of three build castles on this site used to be the seat of an imperial house. After several wars it was used as refuge. However, at the end of the 18th century, it was believed to have lost its strategic importance and fell into disrepair. Since then it has been empty.

Now a group of investors bought the castle,  including the land surrounding it. They are willing to leave the castle intact yet create a themepark in the area, hoping to interest visitors and boost the local economy.

With the background info you provided, this would make a good Scenario park. I can't tell, is that the Pirate Theme walls you used for the castle? (It's been a while since I've played.)

Yes, i used the pirate theme wallis. I think they suit best for building a castle from the those centuries.

Update 17/07:
Using a drone they were able to capture more pictures from the castle, giving a slightly better look.

Two pictures from the courtyard:

The last picture shows that many cannons are still standing after they were left behind:

To keep their promise, the investors group thought it would be a good idea to involve the local people in deciding how the park should take shape. With the thought in mind that if the children are having a good time, the adults usually have that too and are more inclined to stay longer / come back.

So they organised a drawing competition for the children, asking them what kind of themes they would like. Results for that competition should come within a few days.

Update 20/07:

The drawing competition results are in and made clear certain themes have a preference.
To start with: an egyptian, a waterpark, Western, Atlantis, a small zoo, and a shopping area.

A beginning has been made with the egyptian area of the park.

A small building with a ram and sphinx statue, with flower offers in front.

A first wooden coaster has been created. Quite compact but with the added scenery it resulted in a high excitement and intensity ride.

The queue towards the wooden coaster

An overlook of the coaster

During the night lights shine upon the pathway and on top of the columns.

(Note: i need to find my way in how to write my posts and how to set them up)

A new water coaster has been build around the new found pyramids of zollern mountain.

Have you ever wondered what mystery lies inside a pyramide? What hidden treasures are waiting to be found? If there are undiscovered chambers, still locked from the outside world?
Put your fear aside, ride along, dive into the pyramide from above and see for yourself what lies waiting in the dark!

Building has started on the watersection of the park. It will include a swimming pool, slide, waterfalls, a nice park, and perhaps a coaster.

Personal note: workdays are starting again next week for me so updates will be coming in more slowly.
