Well, once again......I'm breaking out the insane methodology I use to build my parks.......start with the terrain, then lay the paths, then the coaster stations and flat ride placements......then diving into to figuring out how in the world to make it all make some kind..or no kind of sense. So....here's the terrain and the pathing laid out. This will be my biggest park as I am using the largest map size available.....so it should be done in about 10 years with the way I work. Check back here for progress.....oh...don't forget to go to my Chalet Rouge thread and subscribe to the finished park in the Steam workshop!
Cheers!

Ten years? HA! Wagi and I can take way longer than that!!!  ::)

Looks interesting. I'll check back in a year or two to see how your first ride looks!  ;D

Seriously, any thoughts about a cohesive theme?

Kind words. So below is the challenge I've laid out for myself in terms of coaster station and ride placement.....and with such uneven terrain, will prove to be a big task. As for theme, it will most likely be a typical Lux amusement park with hotel, but I am not doing my standard recycling of buildings as I've done since I copied and pasted all my archy from Mystic Point into all my other released parks.....these buildings will be all new, and will be that eclectic, quirky and weird style that is kind of my signature (though I'm sure some could argue that I have forged it many times from other worthy builders).

It's so cool to see you back at it again and with a new park. I'm excited to see where this goes.
You're the only person I've seen take the route of locking in your rides and paths first and seeing where it goes. You always make it work though. I think you're a bit insane, but then that's one of the reasons I love ya  :D
And 10years!? That's a short term project  ;)

Thx, Nemmie. I think of these parks like a design challenge.....ala...Chopped or Project Runway. In my next screenshot (which I'll post this weekend), you'll see yet another challenge I created for myself.....and it's really gonna bake your noodle. Might be the ultimate in "boxing myself in".......but it's a good exercise to see what can be created with limitations in an otherwise limitless game. Helps spur some really out of the box solutions.

So.....here's where we are now. All coaster stations, and rides have queues, and to add to the crazy that is my mind, if you look in the lower left corner, you'll see a myriad of shapes....those are the only shapes I am allowing myself to use to construct buildings.......allowing myself to use them in whatever configuration, but, just those shapes......adds another think outside the box layer to this challenge.

I'm liking the layout of generally a central path and all the large rides on the perimeter.

More progress. All coaster layouts and small mid path buildings are done. Now to theme all of it......should be done in a few millenia.
Cheers!

Not sure if that's a good thing....anyway, I am spending a lot of my free time on it, so perhaps that's why it's moving more quickly.
