Advertising Your Site Thread
« on: April 29, 2010, 07:30 AM »

Hello SGW! I'm not sure if this is allowed in these forums, but I'm posting it anyway. CoasterForum.net is a website for all roller coaster lovers, not just RCT3. We include a weekly blog, screenshot contest, and coaster of the week. Please join and help us become more popular, we need more posting members. Also for any of you that already know about the site, we just got a new update. The forum section is wider and the sidebar is skinner, we did this so you can have more space to post larger pictures. We also got a new homepage. Check it out!

I certainly can't remember the rules on such things (and can't be bothered to check them either) but you could do far worse than nipping over to The Crevice of Guacamole which can be found here: http://creviceofguac.20x.cc/

Well, advertising isn't necessarily banned here, but to make a thread strictly devoted to advertising a fansite is kind of pushing it.

Can you not put the site in your signature?

I think this is fine, just as long as it doesn't happen often.  Its just bad forum etiquette.

So this can stay, but don't do it again.

Alright, this is the only time I was planning on doing it anyway.

100 members is not a lot... It's a start to a good website, but it's not a lot yet.  I remember SGW when we were counting up to 100, 200, and then 1000, when we started to get huge.

I really like your site, but I really think you need to fix the navigation bar.  It really bothers me.
I don't even know anymore.

Don't forget to casually mention http://creviceofguac.20x.cc/ in the Shoutbox either Frog... ;)

Might I suggest that SGW provide ONE pinned thread where everyone can post about their sites and keep it all corralled together?

We used to have an advertisement board that kept it out of everyones way, but a single thread seems like a good compromise.

I agree. That way we don't have countless threads advertising other sites... like http://creviceofguac.20x.cc/

The title basically speaks for it's self. This thread is basically for advertising your own sites and inviting people to join to not clutter the Community Chat area. Feel free to advertise any site you have created or feel people should join, just as long as it is appropriate. The links will be clicked on by moderators and if they are deemed unsuitable for this site, you will be warned and the link will be removed.

The one thing that is asked of you, is to please PM the member who posted the site with any questions. It helps keep the thread organized, easier to read, and avoids off-topic posts.
They will see us waving from such great heights,
'Come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'Come down now,' but we'll stay...

Just so we have something other than http://creviceofguac.20x.cc/

Do you consider yourself an RCT3 photographer or filmmaker? Well, at RCT3Design, we are devoted to creating and sharing the greatest RCT3 photographs and videos! Just for all you park makers out there, we have a section for that, too ;) There's a weekly screenshot contest, also (once we get members), so please register, and we can make this one of the biggest RCT3 communities around!

P.S. it's brand new so don't kill me for the poor look.
End of post.
