Now that we have finally hacked into the RCT3 world, and people are beginning to make actual flat rides, I think it is time that famed CS creators start making actual flats.

I have only seen two functional rides, one of which is up for download.

This is a bold step forward for RCT and I think new rides will really enhance the novelty value of this slowly aging game.

I'm curious why no-one has started working on a Giant Swing like the ones at Cedar Point, Silver Dollar City, etc..

I would try my hand at it but I don't know if there's a tutorial yet for it, and I hear it's really really hard to do.

I'll keep my eye on this thread though and If I see anything that catches my eye I'll try to make it and put it in my HARD ROCK CS Set

Also about the Olympic idea wouldn't a whole stadium have a really high poly count. I'm new to this however so I'm not sure but it would suggest it would.

This thread I just found at the Atari site suggests someone is working on a screaming swing.

Yeap, Very High Poly's. My Guitar sign is like 1900 for my park but I figure since I use it only once in an area that won't have much else.. it should be fine.

Still Olympic things copyrighted? Half the things we create are copyrighted in some form or another aren't they? I mean look how many people try to recreate Six Flags parks or Busch Gardens or .. gasp.. Disney.. things lol

It has something to do with being a international thing, and I don't know for sure, but someone at atari brought this up and it downplayed because it was copyrighted.

I have a great idea for a CS set. I love it when people take pics of their roller coasters with 'splash zones.' However, this take hours and hours to get exactly right. So, I think that DazMatze and -Nuclear Fish- should get together and create Particle Effects Ride Events.

DazMatze has made a set that turns every animatronic scenery object a ride event, and -Nuclear Fish-'s particle effects CS set is the most popular effects CS. So, if they mixed the ride events and particle effects, the 'splash zones' would no longer take hours to make.

Also, at the same time, DazMatze could try and make the Generic Scenery objects Particles (Fire, Smoke) ride events, and even hack the MixMaster and allow the bases to be triggered as ride events and shoot off fireworks, lasers, and water jets on queue.

Finally, while working on this set, they could make new particle effects for us.

This would be a great CS set that would certainly have my download!

That is a great idea.. but I think it's a shot in the dark of that happening.. I guess you could PM Nuclearfish and Dazmatze at the Atari Forums and see.. I PM'ed Nuclear a few times abotu some of his rides and never once got a reply back..

I am not really keeping up to date on what's going on at that "other" forum anymore... I read something about them working on a Screaming Swing, and then I checked out MDEKing's Park.. I like his work. A lot of it inspires my creations too.

The Hook the Duck thing I could make out of Billboards yeah.. a little trick I learned from Ytivarg...

And the Flooded Mine thing sounds similiar to Mystery Mine.. Wasn't Vodhin or Old Spice working on that....

I am currently working on paneling to cover my Center Street project, and also an ATM machine to fit where I need it too, and here's something else on my list that I'll be making somethign very similiar too...

Actually I was talking about the statues.. or very similiar to them.. They are just what I need for my God of Thunder coaster, and would be perfect for other creators who are working on Gotham City parks, or Batman Rides etc.. they would have many uses. And a good addition to my CS set. I think they will be the final piece in the CS set.. but you never know.

By the way, I wasn't asking for them, I was only showing a current project on my list that I'm working on.

BTW, I only got one comment on my particle effects ride events idea. What do the rest of you think? If I knew how to make CS, I would do it. But I don't, so I can't, so I won't.
