Knott’s Berry Farm?

@R-Furz - Pleaseeeee show us more of this!
@Fisherman - I don't quite know how to respond to this, so I'm just going to pretend I never saw it.

I've finally had some time to get back into the game after final exams last week and I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Still needs foliage and path work, but I finally got a building I'm happy with.

That theater is absolutely gorgeous, shy. And truly an elegant design with the mezzanine overlooking the floor space. You've got a real winner here!

Lakewood Gardens is pleased to announce Aerophile, a roller coaster experience unlike any other. Taking off in 2018!

Reaching a maximum height of 110 feet, speeds up to 50 mph, three inversions, and a manufacturer's first launch on a B&M flying coaster, Aerophile will introduce guests to the thrills of air travel in a whole new way beginning in 2018.

What's this peeking out behind Hydra?  ::)

Steve was surprisingly impressed with the reimagining of the Boomerang into Hydra. So much so that he requested we begin retheming the entire area, starting with the old Teacups ride. Step into your very own chariot and take up the reins as you're twirled around the arena in this twisting family favorite!

The queue's shade structure has been updated to fit closer with the new theme of the area, as well as integrate some more green matter into a once-dead area.

And, uhh... another special request from Steve. Additional seating has been added along the exit path in case any guests need to "take a long ride on the bench" after this dizzying ride.

The creative team at Lakewood Gardens is proud to present: Chariot Races, opening late Summer 2017. Sign subject to change...

(Steve, I know we blew most of our budget on the Colosseum, but this sign has to go  :P)

I'm always excited to see new things coming to this park, but I can't help but feel concerned when I hear that an imagination pavilion is being replaced with something "high-tech". Hopefully you'll do better than the ride at Epcot! :P

Last week we went over budget, and this week Steve really won't be happy with us. However, we felt that if a stock Vekoma Boomerang was to succeed in this market, it would need to be themed to the nines. So without further ado, Lakewood Gardens is proud to present Hydra:

The ride now features Greek architecture and a storyline around the mythical many-headed beast.

The station building has been refitted in the style of an ancient Greek temple complete with new rockwork and custom Hydra reliefs on the main pediments.

The queue weaves through a cluttered museum-like environment, which serves to introduce the storyline, as well as provide some shelter from the brutal summer heat.

At last, a canopy has been installed to protect guests from loose articles. It also provided an opportunity for some additional reinforcement of the theme with the serpentine torches. Now guests don't need to worry about any unsecured items. However, this should also be alleviated by the new station cubbies.

The whole area takes on a new life at night. The propane torches meant new gas lines had to be routed through the existing structure (sorry, Steve :(). But without sacrificing immersion, we agreed it was the best way to light most of the exteriors.

We leave you with one final overview of the new Hydra, now in soft openings at Lakewood Gardens.

@R-Furz - That's some wonderful track shaping!
@Kinderly - Love the deco styling!

Just a little something I've been working on between summer comp challenges...

Maybe the multi-directional station launch on the Sky Loop track is a hint at generic X-Car coasters… ?

I think we're focusing too much on SSD here. We need M.2 for faster transfer speeds…

That sounded really good. I thought is really fit the theme of opening day of a theme park. Great start to a neat project. :)

Thanks, shyguy! Glad you like it :D

I expect to see this on Broadway in a few years  :mad:up:

But seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. I really like that song so far. Catchy. And jazzy. What's not to love? I wasn't sold on the beginning, but when the other instruments came in it felt amazing.

Thanks, CoastersPaul! Yeah, I'm not too sold on how the guitar VST sounds in the opening. I've been looking to fix it, but I guess I'll just have to wait until I get some real musicians  ;D

For the most unique new thread on this board, you've won Challenge #8.

Wow. Totally didn't expect this! Thanks for the challenge. It gave me the push I needed to post my progress!

I never expected this much of a positive response so quickly! I can't wait to share more of this project. I don't have anything quite finished yet, but here's a little preview of what I've been working on:

As always, any and all comments, criticisms, and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Happy listening!

The Artist's Corner / Funland - A VERY WIP Musical
« on: April 30, 2017, 08:10 PM »
Hi all!

For the past month or so I've been working on creating a musical (play with music). Progress is slow and I have months (more than likely over a year) before this would even be remotely presentable, but I figured I'd share what I have so far.

(I wasn't entirely sure which sub-board to put this thread in, but since the action on my end is mostly concerning music and lyrics I decided to create it here.)

The plot centers around a small amusement park (Funland) that has fallen into a financial pit and is currently being hounded by several outside sources to sell. The park GM (Harold) agrees to sell the park if it doesn't turn a profit by the end of the season, and the ride-ops (lead by new recruit, Max) take it upon themselves to save the park.

Here's a link to what I have so far for the opening number (sorry for the semi-wonky synths):

Spoiler (hover to show)

Like I said, this is still very WIP. I have some more stuff that's not quite ready to share yet. With any luck, I'll have some of it uploaded soon. Any and all comments, criticisms, and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Hope you enjoy it!

Hello everyone,
I am excited to announce that Walt Disney Imagineering is shifting construction into high gear. Today, we finished some pathways that will lead into Tomorrowland and another land (TBD).

As always, I wish everybody a good evening and may the force be with you!

Hmmmm... a land near tomorrowland… ? :whistling:

It's so fun to watch this park develop! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying making it as all your hard work really does pay off. The screens look amazing and I'm loving those Mickey balloons! Keep up the great work!

One word: WOW :o

You have some seriously amazing atmosphere going on there. Can't wait to see more!

Not technically what I just did in Planet Coaster, but I was inspired by a few recent projects and made some concept art. Hopefully I'll be able to start this soon!

EDIT: Photos should be visible now!

So I don't know if the TOGO is still in the pipeline.

SuperLegoChannel made a generic Mack Megacoaster CTR (link below). It works pretty good, but to get it on the track6 expansions you'll need to use CTR Creator (if you're having trouble, shoot me a PM and I can try to help). The default uses the ML04 track.;sa=view;down=1941

Tried to make a small TRON-esque canopy. I can't get over the phenomenal lighting engine in this game!
