RCT Parks & Rides / RCT3 Quick Builds Series
« on: June 18, 2019, 08:08 PM »
Hey everyone! I know I have tons of projects on my plate, but sometimes the small parks are what seem to grab attention. I am going to experiment with different building styles and maybe bring in some popular theme park based books into live streams and see what I can do with what they mention. I am planning on a stream tonight, it will be a text stream to kind of test out this concept. I am willing to get out of my comfort zone, so I hope everyone enjoys this because it will be fun!  :D

RCT Community Board / [Discussion] How can I get better?
« on: May 20, 2019, 11:48 AM »
Hey everyone! I have been thinking of ways to get everyone to get into deep discussions with reflecting on your own strengths and weaknesses. This is going to only relate to RCT Games and gameplay. Not only are we going to discuss what we are good/bad at, but maybe someone disagrees or even wants to help you. Please share I am looking for constructive feedback not destructive feedback! I am going to make kind of a list, so if you have your own criteria definitely share.

Working with custom content
Park entrances
Real world inspirations

Okay/Needs Improvement
Keeping the story/consistency

Not To My Standard/Work In Progress
Theming continuity
Mixing scenery/variation

These are some of the things I notice, please do not beat yourselves up. Just make it to where you can say this is possible not impossible. Any questions, comments, concerns can be presented below, but if you need anything personal please contact me! Have a thrilling Monday!

Sorry for the constant lateness and off weeks. I explain the reasoning in this edition, but I always get so much support from everyone. Thank you!

Community Chat / The Weekly Ambassador Review
« on: March 18, 2019, 06:21 PM »
Hey everyone! I apologize for missing a deadline. I have been busy getting back into school mode since I was off last week. Before I reach the tenth edition, I wanted some feedback to get ready for the upcoming editions. Summer 2019 is when I estimate the editions will be refined and a bit better in terms of content and structure. I am still experimenting with what works and what doesn’t. I do appreciate the positive outlook I have gotten for bringing it back, and I hope to keep it going for a real long time!

Happy Sunday everyone. I did say this was going to be a "jumbo" size, but I broke things up into smaller chunks so it was not 30 pages of stuff. I rather be short, sweet, and to the point.  :D

Community Chat / The Weekly Ambassador Off Weeks
« on: February 25, 2019, 04:16 PM »
Hey everyone I am sorry that I did not post a Weekly Ambassador edition. I was away from my laptop and busy busy busy. This week will also be an off week because I have a "research trip" to Walt Disney World. Expect a "jumbo" edition next week. That is about when I begin spring break which is perfect timing. Again I apologize for the inconsistency, it was just one of those weekends. For a discussion, here are some (or a lot) of questions.   :D

Weekly Question(s):
1) How do you feel about the changes being made at Walt Disney World, especially Epcot?
2) What kinds of experiences do you think Disney will be going for in the near future?
3) With the official name of the new Harry Potter attraction at Universal Studios Orlando, there is construction taking place for the rumored Jurassic Park roller coaster. What will be next? (New theme park does not count  ::))
4) In your creations, how do you know an area will be refurbished/re-themed?
5) With Epcot having multiple festivals, what would your park celebrate and in what season? What experiences will be present?
6) How much theming do you like to see used on roller coasters?
7) What is your worst theme park experience?
8) What area/attraction/etc has the worst theming?

I can go on and on, but this is the jumbo question week.  :n00b:

Community Chat / Weekly Address #73 (Last One)
« on: December 28, 2018, 10:55 AM »
Happy Friday everyone! From the title, this is the last weekly address post. I am taking a huge leap and having The Weekly Ambassador return next week. My goal is to have the "due dates" set for Fridays, but I might give myself a range because a week is normally defined as Sunday-Saturday, so Monday-Saturday will be the range of posting with Friday being the main target. The weekly address posts began in the RCT3 board back when RCT3 was independent. Now these posts have moved to the Community Center and are planning to change into The Weekly Ambassador with improvements. My goal is to make The Weekly Ambassador somewhat of a newsletter. I might even do the first one early for feedback purposes. I will be analyzing more works to put into The Weekly Ambassador, but if you want an "advertisement" for your creation definitely comment below or message me on Discord or here. I know I slacked a little with these posts, but at times life gets crazy which is why I am giving myself a range of days to work with. If anyone wants to help I will very much appreciate it, but all in all I am happy that these posts lasted for quite a while and now it is time to really make my mark. I am more than likely going to have celebration parties in my parks tonight  ::) that might end up in the first edition, but thank you all for dealing with the random posts.

Weekly Question(s):
If there is anything you want to see in The Weekly Ambassador, what will it be? How might I make the transition easy and effortless?

Community Chat / Weekly Address #72 (Merry Christmas!)
« on: December 24, 2018, 07:44 PM »
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Eve. We are now just hours away from Christmas Day (for some of you it is Christmas Day already). I am just going to leave this post right here because this is the time for being with friends and family. Thank you all for being a great community to share the spirit of the season with!

Happy Monday everyone! The spirit of the season is making its mark since Christmas is next week! SGW is the place to celebrate the holidays in theme parks, as well as share new ideas that can become realities. This week I have plans to spend time with the family, and I will be off and on here. Next week, my hopes are to be fully back. I have many concepts that have the possibility to change the scope of a few of my projects. I hope everyone had a great weekend and happy posting.

Weekly Question(s):
What is your favorite holiday tradition?

Community Chat / Start A Chain Reaction
« on: December 06, 2018, 06:59 PM »
Hey everyone! This is somewhat a motivation post, and I really want to see more activity. I do want to say some members are present all across SGW, and they are the ones who normally expect nothing. Those members only wish to inspire and share their ideas with the world. I really want everyone to go to those boards that really are overlooked and at least post once or twice. This can start a chain reaction with members returning the favor then it evolves into a large cycle of activity. I know there will be some members who say that they will not do that until their creations see comments, but sometimes it takes time. Once ideas really develop, more members will be attracted so definitely keep posting no matter what. I highly recommend checking out different projects, if someone has a hyperlink definitely visit it. I have learned about impressive creations just by clicking hyperlinks. Do not think of this as a rant, but think of it as a motivator. Thank you for your time, happy posting!

Community Chat / Weekly Address #69
« on: December 03, 2018, 10:14 AM »
Happy Monday everyone! It is finally December, which means 2018 is almost over and we can all start plotting our projects for 2019. I know I have mentioned to some members that 2019 is when major additions will take place in my personal projects, and this year will close off with minor additions. For college students, finals week is pretty much next week (most of us). I know I did a semester project within two days.....I will keep the rant away because it was assigned about last month with details given to us last week.....

SGW is the place to become known for your contributions to the theme park gaming community. Legends have come and gone from here, but many watch our works to see how things have changed. I do urge those "legends" to continue to inspire us as creators because many of us have started as lurkers and become even larger than we have ever imagined.

I do want to discuss some things I noticed last week and previous weeks that I really have gone quiet about. Many of us want certain additions within the respective games we play. Sometimes we ask for help from other members who share the same need as us. I will however state that there is a way to approach members for help  because we are frequently trying to figure out what to do ourselves. I know I have gotten a lot of help from different members, and they are the ones who really want success in completing/working on projects. If you get help from other members, it is expected that they not only get a lot of credit, but you should treat them with respect and ensure them that you will make them proud. I will not go into elaborate detail as to who or what I have gotten help with because some of my projects make it obvious (looking at you World Of Discovery  :whistling:). I have had members ask me for help and trust me I will definitely help out, I am constantly getting questions about publicly released custom content that may or may not be accessible anymore. My dropbox actually hit the free capacity from me sending custom content that is being searched for. I do not release anything that has not been released publicly, that is out of respect for the original designers.

Another topic that needs to be mentioned is the proper conduct in regards to posting as well as communicating with other members. I have had a fun time "earning my wings" as the global moderator, and I am going to make sure that I perform the duties that are expected of this position. This does not change how I communicate with members, but it has made me more aware of what is expected in this community. Just be respectful and have fun. Sometimes it is good to get creative or even see who else shares your opinions. I do ask to please keep in mind that we are people and things should be handled in a mature manner in order to ensure that SGW is a safe place for ideas. If we are all mean to each other, that might drive members and potential members away because we might be seen as "bashers" (random word I thought of).

Overall, this post is a reminder to be kind to one another and we are all here to follow those who inspire us, which in turn inspires others. Have a great week everyone and happy posting!

Weekly Question(s):
If one of your concepts could become a reality, which one would you choose and why?

Fun & Games / Favorite Theme Park Show?
« on: December 03, 2018, 09:46 AM »
Another fun question to ask for this community is what is your favorite theme park show? I have different categories myself and my answers are:

Fireworks: Happily Ever After
Stage Show: Fantasmic
Parade: Spectromagic.......unless Paint The Night comes to WDW

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and Black Friday. It is now time to prepare for Christmas. For students, this means Finals week is coming Soon SGW will be looking like a winter wonderland with parks getting decorated for the holidays, and nighttime shows lighting up the sky.

Looking around, this week has been a very eventful week in terms of projects developing. I think everyone is starting to prepare their goals for the end of the year and the start of 2019. I know personally, I have things getting lined up for 2019, with a few things being done to close off 2018. I have big goals for next year, and a few magical things will happen across my projects.

The Weekly Ambassador is coming back the first week of January, I am going to closely study the previous Weekly Ambassador to see how to structure and effectively post and bring it back bigger and better than before.

Administration is hard at work to make sure SGW is running smoothly. The staff takes pride in making sure this community keeps being a popular place for theme park simulation fans to share their works and even make history. It is a great feeling to be able to work with some of the veterans of the theme park gaming community and it is simply an honor to be here with everyone.

Weekly Question(s):
SGW is a popular location for theme park simulation fans, and will be for a really long time. How might have you impacted the community? What has been a proud moment for you in your endeavors?
