Derek - In a similar boat (not a teacher) where work seems to be harder now than it was before. Glad you and the husband are doing well. :)

Wowman - Seeing less and less people with masks here in the theme park capital of the world, but I agree with your hopes. Just want everyone to follow the rules and stay safe.

Heth -  hang in there buddy. We're similar ages, so a ton of my friends who are getting married have had the same issues. Light at the end of the tunnel is your wedding will be the first thing all your friends and family go to when this eases up!

JB - Wow, 35 BPM? Hope the lower dose is helping! Keep enjoying the retirement life.

Eddie - Chin-up. I'm starting to feel it to you, just trying to find more things to do.

Supernovae - Glad to hear you're opening back up.

Plokoon - Good luck with the album!!!

As for me - living in Orlando and building theme parks was the dream job for the last 3 years, funny how something out of our control can upend that. I'm still employed and doing just that, things are just slower and more uncertain. Florida is reopening and I'm sure you've all seen the news from UO and WDW - so I am remaining positive. :)

Glad you liked it.  ;)

I do know of one other... but I'm not sure he like people to know his secret identity.  Ha ha. He is super-talented though and has worked on some really cool real-life projects.

Let the speculation begin.  ;D

I wish I did, however I don't!

I am an Architect, but that's probably not close enough.

Pretty close! So many of the people I work with have Architecture degrees (me included) and are in fields you wouldn’t expect. Not to mention the massive team of actual architects it takes to create these projects.

Spent the last year as an intern at WDI, and I'm now being converted on as a full time employee starting January. Has panned out well so far!

Congrats! Orlando or Glendale?

Title says it all mostly. I shared my story here when I was offered an internship with WDI a few years ago. I'm no longer with WDI, but still work in the construction of theme parks. Curious to see how it panned out for anyone else.

May be exhaustion from a long day at work (feel free to guess what project I’m on), but seeing you two still remembering this thread brings a happy tear to my eye.

8 years going! I refuse to wish JonnyEars a happy birthday on Facebook, SGW is the only place in which I will do so!

Happy birthday, friend!!

I love the idea of a Skyfari! So neat and fun.

The Bronx Zoo in New York has a monorail safari which is also very awesome and fun.

I don't think I realized how much larger wolfs were than dogs. Wow. What a cool exhibit. :)

I knew that Magic Kingdom MSUSA had the "escape route", but I had never seen the DL one. Very cool! A lot smaller scale.  :)

Great vlog Tom.  We'll be there again in early November before it ends.  Try the pão do queijo at the Brazil's what I have with coffee all the time!

BTW, we're going to Disneyland also in early November for the first time, I'm hoping the park is as manageable as it seemed to be in much of your vlog!  We avoid Orlando each year during the high season, but even the shoulder seasons have gotten pretty crowded.

Disneyland was very manageable. We got there maybe an hour after opening and still did everything we wanted to. I suspect if you were there at rope drop it would be an absolute breeze.

I do have to try all the booths this year, but my girlfriend is obsessed with food and wine so I'm trying to hold off on trying everything until she gets down here. :)

Thanks for the kind words, Wagi.  :mad:up:

The lighting of main street really is something. Great photos and info shy.  :)

Thanks, glad you feel that way! I ran over to food and wine this evening and quickly edited a vlog. Not as serious as the other ones but I think it's pretty good. :)

Shy's posts about the main street vehicles in the Disney Parks sub-forums inspired me. I really do love main street a lot.

Check out the new video if you want!

Going to Cali in a couple weeks. Knotts looks absolutely charming, and I DO love TGI Fridays. Might have to make a stop there!

Love the Epcot one. Don't normally watch full blogs but they are a perfect length. Nice job

Thanks, Spice! That was actually one of the reasons I started making these. I got a little frustrated with the 30 minute walking tours that were on YouTube and I always liked making videos as a kid.

Made a new one this week. Just kinda goofed around the World Showcase with my friends.

Did you ride Pirates of the Caribbean? Because "ours" blows "yours" out of the water. But I agree, WDW Splash Mountain is the best.

It was down for refurb to add the new red head scene. "OUR" pirates is one of my fav rides, I have to go back to DL to ride the original. I've heard great things.

Thanks! I work pretty hard on them.

Awesomeness! I am going back to WDW in September and have Disneyland on my bucketlist. Cool videos!

That's great! Food and wine will just be getting going at Epcot. Should be really fun this year.

Hi all! Technically this is not my photography, but my videography.

I live in Orlando now since I worked for Disney and started making "weekly" vlogs. I recently did one of Future World and made it a little longer than usual and tried to make it feel like I was giving a tour of one of my favorite places in WDW.

I also linked my Disneyland vlog below, I think the crowd here will really like it. I have been a Disney fan my entire life and only ever went to WDW. Gives a cool insight into my first experience there.

Thanks guys!

Shy - LMK if I should post this somewhere else.

I love the mainstreet vehicles. Can't wait for more!

Happy belated Jonny! Love seeing the older folks still walking around the halls.

Who are you? I'm Tom and I always wanted to be an Imagineer so my name was ImagineerTom formerly iRCT3 on Atari. Everyone actually calls me Tommy, even my name tag at work says Tommy. I've always gone by Tom online though.

What games do you play? I downloaded Planet Coaster, and it's a lot of fun. Nothing worth posting yet, though. I don't have a ton of time for games anymore and I really miss RCT3 and posting parks, but I still love these forums.

What are your works? I made a few different recreations of Magic Kingdom in RCT3. One was actually quite good. I've made like 5-10 Disney CTRs, the monorails and people mover are my favorites. I've made a lot of random CS sets for RCT3 mostly Disney related. I think there are some other things that I can't remember.

What brought you to SGW? I remember the AtariCommunity forums closing down and then we got or something that was just awful. The moderators were weird, out of touch, and sometimes bigots.

I used to idolize Jonnyears and Frogpole because they were really funny on the community chat part of the forums. They all mostly moved over here so I followed.

I think I was the RCT3 General Board Mod for 3(?) years? I was a Global Mod up until June of 2017 when I got a job and couldn't post as much.

I love to see all of the familiar faces still here.

Ah the Tribune is back! What a neat little attraction, they don't look like any hogs I have ever seen. Cool post!

Thank you for sharing this news, shy.

I hope Denny's family the best, and may he rest in peace.

A much younger, much more immature, ImagineerTom once butted heads with Denny quite a bit. Though, in all honesty, it was more of a jealousy at how quickly and often he could produce sets. Made my multi-year WIP sets seem less impressive.

He was a remarkable creator, and a very very nice person to see comment on the forums. He will definitely be missed, but will live on through his creations.

Bumping this back up. Spice has done an insane amount of work for this community. Hope the SGW community can help him out.

Finally had some time to check out some parks on here. This is so awesome, Shy. Love to see that you're making it better and better with every iteration.  :)
