Rain storm by this habitat

I've really busy with work and personal stuff around the house, so this park is falling behind. This may be the last update for a bit on this park until I can find some time to work  on it more.

Here is the street view at night

backstage behind these two stores

after leaving the station you climb up a short lift

and then around a swooping bank and into the mountain

Inside the mountain it takes a steeper dive

In and around some tight turns in the bowels of the rocks

This was called the Tidal Wave at Marriott's Great America back in the day.

I kinda feel different from everyone else. While I don't post my projects solely for comments, comments and feedback is what kinda makes your projects have a sense of life to it. I think of the biggest things on a site like sgw is you kinda get this sense of community when you posts and when you receive very little to no feedback, it doesn't motivate me to post another update just to sit there and be deserted. I know to some who might be reading this might sound selfish but if I'm being brutally honest, there's really no point in posting if you get very little feedback or comments. That's what makes forums so unique from social media sites is that you get this sense of belonging when you share something and to see it sit there with very little interest is like having 2 people come along driving an old car, only to abandoned it several weeks later. The fact that the activity on sgw has been low for a while is not helping matters and is kinda proving my point. :( It isn't like back in 2014 where there was project after project after project. You'd think with this pandemic going on, more people would be active but that doesn't seem to be the case. I don't know, maybe I'm being cynical.
I'm not saying I don't like comments. I agree. They help the community thrive and exist as I comment often on other's work. I was just trying to say that I don't let comments....good or bad...influence the work and play that I want to do. Usually because I'm so far gone already that it would be total reworking if I were to go back and change anything.

i would say no for the most part. I'm making what I'm making mostly for me, but love to share to help inspire others. Problem with my work is that by the time I post most of what I'm working on...its been months since I actually did that going back and changing something is just not in the cards for me. Some of my more recent projects are not so behind, so suggestions can work out better. If anything, I take what people say and learn for the future.

There are two mirror image shelters towards the back of the exhibit (hidden behind rock work) where the roos can go to feed, sleep and get out of bad weather. The doors can be closed when winter arrives. Keepers also have access through the buildings.

Lets take a closer look at the coaster that flies around Mt. Raven...called Raven's Wing. The courtyard area at the end of the main street turns right and heads towards the more rustic pathway.

Where you come across the Raven Inn restaurant and bar...

The queue entry is also located on the far end of this building.

Mighty fine lookin' roo you have there. The faces do look rather roo-ish. The creek looks very realistic, especially the bank. What is that stacked yellow and green thing? Scratching post? Feeder?
LOL - THX. Also, thats a scratching post enrichment item.

More of the Roo enclosure. I have since made the interior fence (on the left) invisible.

here is the completed exterior during the day

Inside the plushy shop. I kind of made this combined shop also carry toys as there wasn't a lot of puppet like stuff to find/use.

Looks like it's gonna be another great-looking interior. I'm intrigued by that giant Tinkertoy can; is it an in-game item, a toolkit item, or a billboard image? As a kid, I loved making 'working' carnival rides out of Tinkertoys, cranked by hand, using rubber bands as belts to give them movement.
that was a toolkit item

Thanks for the tour, wowman. Did you show us the Whip ride (in the cavern) before? I don't remember seeing it. The video provided lots of additional views and details; like the intricate detail and color of the Kathmandu bridge as the camera crossed over it.
yep- earlier in the thread I had more pics of that ride

Here is the kangaroo habitat areas

This exhibit in the current real zoo is very wooded and filled with high weeds and plants, which I never thought was very realistic for how these animals live in real life, which is more open plains and dry desert-like areas. So I made this habitat a bit more open, which area of shade scattered around.

I am posting each land by itself on the workshop, so everything you have seen so far is out there in pieces.
