There is now a limit to the size of signatures on these forums. 5 lines of text and images no large than 700x100 pixels. Images larger than that will automatically be re-sized. During testing of this new feature, some of the larger signatures were inadvertantly shrunk down much smaller than the allowable limit. If yours was one of them, you should be able to simply re-load the image again. It should then be automatically re-sized, if needed, to meet the 700x100 limit.

It's time for you to vote for the candidate you wish to be the next Global Moderator of SGW Forums. There will be one of two outcomes at the end of the voting period. If there is a winner by a landslide, then this will be the only vote. If, on the other hand, the race is very close between two or more candidates, then a second vote may be necessary between the top contenders. The voting period will last one week. With the influx of new members, and the return of some old members, we have decided to create a third Global Moderator position. And we're going to ask you, the RCT3+ Community to help make that decision. For these are YOUR forums. And you actually get a say in what goes on here. I know that's a novel idea, but that's what SGW is all about. A forum set up for the community, by the community.

So, for those who don't know, a Global Moderator is a member whose job it is to watch over the forums and keep the peace. He/She does not have the power to ban people or censor what you have to say. Just to keep things from getting too heated if the need arises. Also, keeping things organized, making sure threads are in the right boards, being helpful to the new members, and being courteous to all.

As of now, the forums have two Global Moderators...Bogeybo, and LoneWolf, who are both doing an excellant job, btw. But with all the new memebers, many of which are older and many who have come over here from "another" forum, perhaps you'd like someone whom you're more familiar with or who you think would represent yourselves a little better.

So, if you believe you know a member who you think would be perfect for the job, then let us know. Post your choice for your nomination here. If you are interested in the position yourself, it's okay to say so in this thread, but that will not count as a nomination. Someone else will have to do the nominating. But it's still a good way to let the community know that you are interested. At the same time, if you are NOT interested in the position, and a member does nominate you, please let the forum know as soon as possible that it is not your cup of tea. Once we have enough nominees and the community is satisfied with the choices, then there will be a vote.

Shyguy's World (SGW) Reorgainzation Outline and Timetable

Dear friends and members of Shyguy's World,

The last few days, there have been a huge influx of members, some old returning from being gone, some new ready for a change.  With all the change in membership, the BOD have decided that there need to be some changes to this site in order to help streamline, organize, and beautify our section of the internet.  We're so happy to see so many new faces, and yet many that are so familiar at the same time.

The changes that are noted below, as well as more to follow, are for ALL of SGW members.  As a group, the BOD has made sure to include EVERYONE'S interests as these changes are being developed, discussed, and fine-tuned.  This first round of changes will help make navigation easier and more fluid.  It will add some new things, and take away a few things that were not working as well.  Please review the new organization of the site carefully, and any questions can be asked on this thread.

In the reorganization of the site, each Bolded Word is a separate board, with each tick being a board inside the bolded word.  Notice the RCT3 Exchange then opens up into another layer.  The Advertisement and Club boards have been removed, and a Tutorials Board has been added to the RCT3 section.  A new, “Thoughtful Conversations” board has been added, where moderation will be stricter and topics would be reserved for serious debates, informative and educational essays, and overall brain-stimulating topics.

I want to officially welcome all the new members here that have escaped from Atari's evil clutches. Some of you are old members who have come back, and some of you may be brand new members who have found this site on your own. Regardless of where you came from and why you're here, I just want to let you all know that you've come to a site that I think you're going to like. We strive, here at shyguy's World, to be friendly and respectful to all, regardless of your age or your experience with the game, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. So whether you've just discovered this WONDERfully addictive game or you're a pro and have designed 100's of parks or custom scenery sets, we are treated equally here. And even if you're not a fan of RCT3, there's still a lot of things we have to offer...

Forums...Our forums range from topics about almost every aspect of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, to other theme park related games and topics. Our Real World Parks Category has a great Board for all you Disney fans. Do you like other simulation games? We've got a board for that too. If you just like to socialize and make friends, our General Category has boards where you can discuss almost anything you want. Or play word games and the like on the Fun & Games Board.

Downloads... We've got a small, but growing database of park files, custom scenery sets, videos, and more for you to download. Of course, all of shyguy's sets and parks are here. And there is unlimited space to add YOUR park files and sets too! I will host any type of files related to the Rollercoaster Tycoon series on this site. Just click on the Upload Tab on the left margin to have your stuff hosted here.

Chat... We have our own chatroom, here at the forums. You need a minimum of 25 posts to join. After that, the Chat Board will open up and you can register and then have access to the chatroom. It's a great way to meet and make new friends.

Arcade...If you like video games, the Arcade is full of them. We've got Tetris, Donkeykong, Asteroids, Slots, Solitaire, Pong, and many many more. Join our monthly competitions and win a prize!

And as time goes on, you can expect new big changes coming up. First up will be a brand new look for these forums. But this is still in the planning stages, so I can't tell you much right now, but you can bet that shyguy's World is just going to get bigger and better as time goes on.
