MGP,
I'm really enjoying the progress of this project. It reminds me of home, well close to it. I use to live in Santa Cruz and SF was a nice day trip away. Loved seeing the bridges, but have always hated crossing the Bay Bridge.

By the way, congrats on the new Jeep. Looks real nice and Jeeps always need a ding somewhere right  :).

Great work and can't wait to see more.

Ahhh... makes me miss living in Santa Cruz and making the trip to San Francisco.  Now I live too far to make a day trip with the family. It's looking real nice. Can't wait to see how it turns out.  :)

Gravquian,
I have to say thank you very much for the tutorial, I don't think I could have muddled through cafe naver without it . Your CS is really nice and I'll have to play around with it and see what I can do with it. (It's more than I've done I still can't figure out how to import a wall :P)  The coaster's lots of fun, I like all of the inversions.

I'm still relatively new to these forums (been here about a year), but you seem to be a positive voice, pushing people forward with a positive comment and being as helpful as possible (especially when someones looking for a cs or something).

Thank you very much,
RetroBunny

Looking awesome. Not sure where theIronHorse is located, but being on the west coast I would love to see a version of the C.K. Holiday also. No pressure really, I'm happy to watch any model you create come together.

Keep up the great work.  :)

RCT3 CT/CTR/CFR / Re: Disneyland People Mover - Need some help!
« on: July 30, 2013, 10:24 AM »
Hi Tom. The model is looking really nice and am really excited to see its progress. The in game model looks great.

I believe Gshot may be correct about the track being narrower than the track in WDW (having never gone to WDW myself I'm going by youtube vid's and my own memories). I believe that the motive power is different as well. I remember the cars being moved along by wheels in the track.

If you do decide to create the CT for this would we be able to change elevation? As I understand it the track at WDW stays flat through the entire ride where as the track in Disneyland, CA changes it's elevation. It's sort of like a very slow moving roller coaster with hills and long sweeping turns that rise gradually.

If you want to see a good vid, go onto youtube and type "Disneyland Peoplemover - 1990" and check out the first video. It's not mine, but it gives you a real good feel of what the ride was like. It even has the old Skyway to Fantasyland ride running through the Matterhorn.

Just to make it clear, I think that this model is absolutely amazing and would download it regardless of having a CT or not.

Keep up the great work.

Sorry I didn't mention this before, but the roof texture looks great. Really captures the original look.  :)

Those models are looking really nice. I remember going with friends around '92/'93 and we all had cars of our own and ended up sitting in the cars just like the the human model is sitting. Lots of fun.

I think it would be great to have a version of the cars without the canopies maybe even re-colorable cars.

Keep up the great work Tom :)

I believe this paint scheme was done in about 1987 and stayed that was till they removed them in '95 (I think). I still prefer when they were painted primary colors. My favorite is they yellow cars. I going to Disneyland as a kid with my family and we would take a mid day ride to get away from the crowds. It was one of my favorite rides.

This model is beautiful and really brings back some wonderful childhood memories. Do you think you will add a texture to simulate the design on the roof? Like you see in this picture?

How Awesome. Now all you need are some old west themed mini building facades to go with it. Reminds me of the  mini train rides at the Nut Tree and Casa De Fruta.

These look great. I can easily see them being used on a horror themed coaster or dark ride. Just looking at them is giving me idea's.
