I'd reply to each of you personally, but it would be just "thank you" for each comment and that would be quite redundant. So one big "Thank you" to everyone. :D

Construction on the Haunted Shack is well under way.

A scene from the walk-through part of the attraction.

I like the facade, but something just doesn't say "haunted" to me. Maybe some vine overgrowth, or perhaps angle the windows at like five degrees or something, just so it looks "off" if you follow.

Love the skeleton on the couch. I am so stealing that idea!

Disney Imagineers wanted to make the Haunted Mansion look "haunted" from the outside, and Walt insisted against that. So I'm taking Walt's side on this. ;)

It's been a while since the last update. I've been pretty busy with other things. Plus there's a lot I'm just not ready to show yet. But here's a little update to let you know I'm still plugging away on this.

The Crawfish Island Melon Stand.

The Melon Stand will feature fresh fruit and smoothies.

So I have a funny melon story. Was at a client dinner (in southern CA which was quite foreign to a number of the people there) and most of the others had a bit to drink...and our sales AE was also a bit flighty on top of that. We walk out and she looks up an yells..."hey look, a melon tree"....wait for it...the tree had several semi-deflated balloons stuck in it. Needless to say several of us couldn't stop mocking her and laughing for a good hour. She really had no clue.

Wow, this has really come along since I last looked!  I had about 10 pages to catch up on.  Can't begin to say how amazing this all is.

Could you, at some point, show an aerial view of the whole park so far, just so I can get an idea of how all the lands are arranged?  I haven't been here very long so never saw the RCT3 version.

Thanks, Bullethead. I'll post some aerial shots soon, but I don't want to just yet, as it's such a WIP. The lands are all very unfinished and spread out all over the place and don't even connect to each other yet. Plus, there are some things I don't want to reveal yet.

Here's another screenie to tide you over until I have something more substantial to show.

That's a great shot, thanks for making that pic click-able!

Here's a question:  The RCT3 WW had a lot of terrain elevation variation with it.  Is that something you'll be doing in this version as well?   (It's been awhile, but for some reason I'm remembering Catfish Cove being lower than everything else.  Or maybe that's just where it fell on the map.)

I think there was the illusion that Catfish Cove was lower because Alpine Village was created at a higher elevation. The same applies to this version. There's a slight elevation climb to get to the ground level of Alpine Village. And then several more elevation changes throughout the land. Catfish Cove and Expo 3000 are at the same elevation. Although Crawfish Island is lower in elevation.

Ça c'est bon, ça!  I can smell the Zatarain's from here.  You should definitely have a billboard advertising Zatarain's Crab Boil spice mix.  Can't boil les écrevisses without it.

Have you started the Muskrat Marsh boat ride yet?

Elements of the attraction have begun... part of the waterways, Crawfish Island itself, and the boarding station. Although it's going to be a while until construction begins on the major parts of the ride. It won't be opening any time soon.

It looks more like he just rose from the grave there.  I can hear him moaning "Voooooommmmmmiiiiiittttttt" :D
